Thank you for your work.

Israel's actions remind me of the worst of the German Nazi's in places like Oradour-sur-Glane. Those WW2 atrocities we rightly condemn, but when the Israel's do worse, not a whisper is heard from the supposed Western guardians of high moral standards.

I visited OsG in the early 2000s. I was staying near Limoges. Beautiful part of the world. The irony is that many of the SS troops who carried out the killing were Frenchmen from Alsace which Germany annexed in 1940. They, like the Israelis, sought to justify the massacre. A popular SS officer, HelmutbKampfe had been captured by the Maquis and publicly immolated by them and what happened at OsG was retribution for this event. Although by all accounts the SS targetted the wrong village and OsG had nothing to do with the abduction and killing of Kampfe. Much like most in Gaza had nothing to do with October 7th.

The SS actually court martialled the officer who ordered OsG.

Thanks for that Michael - have a good new year.

Thank you for your comment as I did not know much other than the Nazi barbarism, which it seems all bullies follow. An Interesting recent article in RT writes on British concentration camps of African's and torture & deaths of freedom fighters. Also in a famous case during the Vietnam conflict on 7th February 1968 an American major said "It became necessary to destroy the town to save it." The AP reporter was Peter Arnett. Vietnam Veteran Michael D. Miller gave a quote as "We had to destroy Ben Tre in order to save it."

Thanks for the update Rob and all the best for the New Year to you and family.

You have covered just about everything here.

It looks like out with the old and in with the same for the powers that be.

Perhaps Bidens recent aid gift to Ukraine was in reward for the gas cut off to Slovakia etc.

I also read today that Jake Sullivan said the US was considering action against Iran before January 20th

They are not stopping and I also wonder if the Bandera loving green beret who blew himself up at the Vegas hotel is part of it all.

Other than that the UAF is still somehow holding out although a collapse nears!

Interesting you mention Anthony Beevor's book on Stalingrad.

I read that a few years ago but preferred/ and found it similar to the paperback-enemy at the gates by William Craig.

Thanks and I guess we we will see what happens next week.

Glantz and House's book on Stalingrad is the best imv - the abridged version. I read Craig's book a few times but I don't have it any more. We've traveled around a lot over the years so it no surprise that it was lost. Yes- I think we could get some surprises before Trump takes over: that's IF he takes over. I get the impression that a collapse is not far away but I've been feeling that way for months. We will see what happens. Thanks for your contributions over the past months and I hope you and yours have a good year.

Thanks, and you are welcome Rob.

I googled the Beevor and Craig books whilst I posted.

Strangely enemy at the gates was deemed as near nazi propaganda by Slavic review.

Then bizarrely, the Russian language version of the Beevor book was banned in Ukraine in 2018.

Mainly due to him writing about Ukraine units helping the Germans. Interesting read.

Possibly something they would be more proud about in 2025 than they were on the cusp of EU trajectory in 2018?

Duplicitous and not to be trusted and the fact the West throws weapons and money at their ideology and even claps their ex SS soldiers in political buildings shows more evidence that this is only about weakening Russia.

Talking about Beevor, Andrei Martyanov is not a fan due to Beevor's extensive coverage of Russian rapes in his book Berlin - which is another one that got lost. I'd read it at least four times over the years. I have no idea whether Beevor's account is an exaggeration or not. With regard to Stalingrad, Beevor misses out much of the fighting before the Germans even reached the city which Glantz and House cover in their book - even more so in the unabridged version.

Thanks for the information Rob.

I also read somewhere, could have been the WW2 (Time Life which was a 32 paperback series from the 90s? that oner of the top Russian generals supposedly confessed to it at the time.

But rape is something all sides are guilty of in War.

That is why it is best not to start them as people become desensitised.

Also in the paperback book series I am pretty sure the author mentioned that after Barbarossa the Germans mistreated all occupied areas.

But a mistake was made with the Ukraine nationalist areas as they hated the Russians as much as the nazis and would have been happy to join forces with the push into Russia.

This history about the various groups of nationalists, the massacres and US covert ops post WW2 leads to where we are right now.

Thank you so much, dear Dr. Rob, for your wonderful updates. They are amazing, with so many details and great analyses, also the great sitreps and maps, simply, your reports are the best. Also, wishing you a happy and blessed new year. Hopefully, Zelensky and his evil regime will be finally defeated. It is a pity that Palestine is now forgotten and Syria is in ruins, too.

Thank you Tilly - much appreciated. Even though things are in a bit of a mess now, there are signs that they could improve this year. Five years ago Woke reigned supreme and it seemed that Globalism was thriving but now we are seeing the cracks in both edifices. As ever, I am optimistic. Wishing you a happy and blessed new year.

Happy New Year. Thanks for all the hard work that goes into this. I hope this is the year where the war ends. Edwin Hoyt was worth a read on Stalingrad. The famous sniper Zaitsev actually settled in Kiev after the war and died there. I only discovered the other day that Kursk was part of Sloboda Ukraine and Sudzha was where the Soviet Ukraine government was based 1918.

Thanks for you knowledgeable contributions. I've not heard of Hoyt but I'll get the paperback. I have not read a whole book since I started doing this update: just bits and pieces.

Thanks Rob, an excellent summary as per usual. For a regime that should be in caretaker mode the Biden gang is hyperactive at the moment with Blinken dashing off to South Korea and Sullivan pondering an attack on Iran. It's likely to get worse before it gets better. I'm expecting a false flag terror attack in the vicinity of Ukraine or Europe to galvanise more Russophobia to justify the continuation of the conflict.

The bomb in the Tesla ruck is dodgy as the guy was a bomb expert, burnt to a crisp but luckily had his passport with him which was barely scorched. A rat has been smelt. Anyway good health and happiness for 2025.

Yes, Biden and co will be flailing their arms about so it will be squeaky bum time until the 20th. It is remarkable that we haven't had a major false flag event yet. Thanks for your contributions Chris and have a good new year.

"... bunkers to protest ..." protect perhaps. Although you've mentioned previously that typos don't bother you - I can't help myself ;o)

Other than that another fine synopsis. Hope you had a great hogmanay.

Cheers Dude - I've altered it. Typos do bother me generally so I am always grateful when someone points them out - especially at this point when most people haven't seen the Update. If it's Monday and the typo is trivial then I'm not bothered. Hope you have a good New Year and thanks for you contributions.
