Yep...And it's very disappointing that Vance, who usually knows what he's talking about, got into this mess and made an ass of himself...

This photo cracks me up. The faces of the three stooges in the background say it all. I imagine their thought bubbles:

Vance: 'This man is a total idiot'

Rubio: 'He’s talking total bullshit'

Hegseth: 'I just hope nobody asks me any questions’.

Now the duo of War Criminals R US, in Ukraine loss Mk2, having g lost another proxy war, is putting a fantasy proposal on the table for West Asia of emptying Gaza; having other nations accept as immigrants the people whom they have been labelling "terrorists" - Hamas; and maintaining dominance there through Abrahams Mk2.

And, if their war on Iran hoped for the de-nuclearisation of that nation, it has had the opposite effect:

a) Iran has resolved to end IAEA inspections, probably because the head of the IAEA, Grossi, in a visit to Israel straight after an inspection in Iran, gave Israeli intelligence the names of Iran's top 6 nuclear scientists, which Israel promptly assassinated.

b) Medvedev has, a couple of days ago, announced that Iran doesn't have to develop nuclear weapons, because other nations can supply them to Iran. Given that Iran-Russia-China-Pakistan have allied together recently, there will be no shortage of friends that can do this.

c) North Korea has declared that it will supply Iran with missiles should they run low. Hyposonics no doubt.

d) Israel broke Trump's much-vaunted Ceasefire straight after it was announced (shades of Ukraine again). Of course it was about having time to restock (Ukraine-like).

The only conclusion that can be drawn from all of these developments is that the Zionist Project in the Promised Land may have been fun for the Zionist while it lasted, but its days are numbered. I hear that 15,000 Isrealis have purchased properties in Cyprus, and that the locals are starting to worry. Stand by for claims that God promised Cyprus to his Chosed, too. After all, the climate there is better than in Brooklyn, or Eastern Europe.

I’ll disagree on the constitutionality:

https://shipwreckedcrew.substack.com/p/the-2001-authorization-to-use-military

Congress should repeal it, but…

My view is the Trump Iran “war” was more kabuki theater, where it got Trump out of an actual war with Iran that Israel wanted, and Trump knew would destroy his agenda. The pressure from Israel on Trump was incredible.

Trump attacked 3 nuclear sites that Iran had evacuated and knew Trump said only these sites. Trump claimed sites were destroyed, ending Irans nuclear ability.

Iran retaliated with a symbolic 14 rockets that caused no casualties that the U.S. and Qatar were forewarned about.

Israel can no longer claim U.S. help is needed to end Iran’s nuclear program, since sites were supposedly destroyed. U.S. has said they are not supporting regime change, so U.S. involvement is no longer needed.

Iran and Israel enacted a de facto ceasefire. My guess is both sides got hurt enough to want a ceasefire. Israel is back to focusing on their internal ruthless politics. Israel’s attempt at a color revolution or breakup of Iran failed.

I didn't know about the 2001 'authorisation' but I have heard some commentators say that Trump should have consulted congress. Cheers Ray

The partisan hypocrisy, with the exception of Senator Rand Paul and Rep. Thomas Massie, is high.

Clinton did the same thing in Bosnia, Serbia, and Haiti.

Obama in Pakistan, Yemen, Libya, and Syria. US citizens without due process were killed. The entire Libya fubar is still festering.

Good news is USAID that did lots of regime change, has been shuttered.

The war powers acts constitutionality is controversial, and U.S. presidents since it was passed post Vietnam have acted as if it’s not constitutional.

Rand Paul I know and his dad Ron. These people are sound libertarians like me. I was going to do something on Massie but ran out of time and space - maybe next week.

It is too early to start talking about the geopolitical costs of the 12-Day War?

"In my view, anyone who backs Israel’s genocide is, by definition, immoral."

In my view, anyone who backs Israel's genocide is dangerously sociopathic. It has to be said. These flawed humans are dangerous. They threaten our world...and the most concerning part in all this is the fact that they're proud of their hate-filled minds.

I saw a video on Telegram a few days ago where a muscled-up late-twenties male Belarusian Jew came up to a momentarily unattended 2 year old Iranian child standing with the luggage where he picked up the child over his head and then threw the child onto the marble floor of the Moscow airport, crushing the child's skull!!!! The child was seriously injured, as you can well imagine. He was arrested and laughed about what he had done!

These are the people who back Israel's genocide.

PS: I went back a few hours later to copy it as evidence of what we're discussing and it was gone...

I share your frustration, Rob.

Either they’re stupid, criminally ignorant, or don’t care (evil).

If any other country on earth besides the us did this, there’d be ww3.

They are fairly typical of the political class especially in "the west" Look around the world and think how many off them you actually respect as statesmen and leaders. In my own country the ruling party won a substantial majority with only 30% of the primary vote and is proving to be a damaging clown car of incompetents in government. Interesting times.
