A Word On Global Warming To My Subscribers (and others)

I had to say something about this because I came to realise (after my post on the Dangerous Interregnum) that many of my readers may still believe in global warming - but they will not know why I no longer share their belief

‘No I don’t believe in Global Warming’ (AGW) is from a song I wrote a couple of years ago. It is possible that some of you may have difficulty in accepting this view - though perhaps most of you are OK with it (my readers are an absolute mystery to me). I had believed in Global Warming for decades until December 2018 when I was prompted to do some research after watching astrophysicist Piers Corbyn (Jeremy’s brother and ‘climate denier’) on George Galloway’s chat show.

In fact, I conducted many hundreds of hours of scientific research over a couple of months while ignoring the politics because I did not wish to be unduly influenced. In the end, I could no longer sustain a belief in Global Warming. Furthermore, I lost many friends due to my changed views so it wasn’t easy for me to do this. I am not going to debate the matter on the Update because I don’t have the time or the inclination to do that - but I will provide a list of some of the scientists I have consulted in case anyone is interested: there are many more. I will continue to express my views on global warming/cooling where they are relevant to whatever it is I am discussing. It would be dishonest of me not to do so. I should say that I will not claim to know that global cooling is happening until this becomes certain - which it may do at the end of this solar cycle.

I am in not in the business of persuading others to share my beliefs: I simply express them. But I want people to appreciate that my beliefs are not held out of some adherence to dogma or because I have been neglectful in carrying out the necessary research. I would appeal to people to do the same - do not accept what you have been told by politicians and the legacy media - carry out your own research. I am sure that many of you do this already.

The media told you lies about Trump, Covid, lockdowns, ‘vaccinations’, George Floyd, the various wars fought by NATO, including the current Ukraine conflict and lots of other things besides. Why would you believe that they are telling you the truth about Anthropogenic Global Warming? I appreciate that they have scared many people to death out there with their alarmist (and false) rhetoric about ‘extreme weather events’.

But for those paying attention, close attention, it is clear that 1. They lie - for example by telling us that we have never experienced temperatures as high as this in February or April or May etc. Statistics show otherwise - and that’s where Tony Heller comes into his own (see below). 2. They scaremonger with these lies and with the messianic utterings of people (like Greta Thunberg) who we should not be listening to. 3. They ignore anything that does not fit with the global warming theory - such as record low temperatures and record snow pack in the US. 4. They make predictions that never come true - especially Al Gore. It beggars belief that he should have predicted the ‘end of snow’ in a country where snowfall is actually increasing considerably - just like the polar bear population is increasing considerably. 4. They make it really difficult for academics to publish papers that do not support AGW and reward those who publish in favour of the theory. 5. They castigate anyone who disagrees with them - employing cancel culture and other devices. In other words, they employ the same methods that seek to persuade us to support Nazis in Ukraine and Israel. 6. Lots of other things I have forgotten.

I also understand from personal experience how difficult it is to reject global warming and how this could impact on friendships or familial relationships. No one with whom I was associated in the Labour party or outside it was comfortable with my claims about global cooling. They simply did not want to know and thought that I was being hoodwinked by conspiracy theorists or some such nonsense. I ended up leaving the Party and the left which was the best thing that could have happened to me. I am more independent of thought than I ever have been. Non, je ne regrette rien.

Patrick Moore (Co-founder of Greenpeace) - for example. Moore left Greenpeace when his colleagues started to become ideological rather than scientific in their thinking. Moore is a scientist: his colleagues were not. He talks about it here.

They also provide some basic lessons in the Grand Solar Minimum delivered by experts. Indeed, there is something for all levels of understanding/knowledge on the GSM Channel.

https://www.youtube.com/@Suspicious0b servers This is Ben Davidson who provides a theory about ‘climate forcing’ which seeks to explain how energy is transmitted from the sun to the earth. His stuff is complicated, so I wouldn’t try to engage with him until you have grasped the basics. Basically, the adherents of AGW claim that the sun’s influence on climate should be discounted because the TSI - i.e. Total Solar Irradiance, a measure taken of solar power in the earth’s atmosphere, changes very little. But Davidson provides a more complex account of the way energy is transmitted from sun to earth which shows that solar power does indeed change considerably.

Maybe the GSM channel is a good place to start - if you are interested of course. I am seeking to facilitate rather than instruct.
