Thanks Tilly: I am in need of God's blessings atm and am grateful to you for passing them on. I am getting up from bed today after a full week. Yesterday I ate two yoghurts and some ice cream which have given me the strength to do so. But I won't start work until tomorrow. You are always so kind and it is appreciated.
Thanks Bindoner. I can't take your advice about the news intake - as an independent journalist at a time like this it is impossible to turn a blind eye. It is the food that sustains me. I was awake in the night watching the latest Iranian strikes. I think what is happening in the ME/Iran could be momentous but hope it will be so in a good way.
I know, it's impossible to look away. I too hope for a "good" outcome - humbling of the Empire. There can't be a truly good result, too much death and disruption has already happened, but if the course of events turns to a curb on imperial aggression, it may be worth it. I've gone back to Telegram, for the live reporting. Interestingly, a couple of the channels are now blocked in the UK - they were accessible during the 12-Day War.
You are right Bindoner: I have gorged on grief for too long now so I will be having a break until I start work tomorrow. Fortunately, I have other interests - especially as a fan of Cardiff City who are close to promotion. So I'll lose myself in analysis of our latest victory and watch the match recording later with a bottle of alcohol free lager.
Thanks Hans. I am engaging in matters more deeply than I am usually able because doing the Update does not allow me to do so. I am well enough to do this but not well enough to work yet. So this is a different experience for me. I have an enflamed gut lining which makes eating almost impossibly painful but I need to eat to gain strength. I am drinking almond milk and soya yogurts but nothing else.
La réflexion avec un peu de recul face à cet évènement catastrophique sera certainement plus constructive et riche que les commentaires dystopiques à chaud me semble-t-il.
Bon rétablissement et surtout prenez soin de vous.
Get well soon Rob.
Cheers Anthony
Very sorry to hear you are ill. Get well soon!
English Outsider
Thanks Outsider - it was poor timing to say the least. But the war started after my publishing slot.
Oh man. Don't worry, we'll keep an eye on the war for you.
No worries - the war's right in front of me.
Sorry to hear that Rob. Best wishes and get well soon.
What a time to be alive.
Cheers Chris - at least I'm well enough now to take it all in if not well enough yet to write about it.
I am sad to hear about your illness, but I hope that you will recover soon and so I wish you all the best and many God's blessings.
And thank you for all your regular reports that I appreciate and enjoy greatly.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Best to keep your intake of news minimal for a few days, I think it will only make things worse for you.

Thanks Skeptic - It's the middle of the night here and I'm watching the latest Iranian strikes. Something big could be happening in the ME.

My wife has been amazing in caring for me but its good to get sympathy from people on here. Much appreciated 'cousin'.
Dear Rob! All the best. For a buisy man there has been no good timing to getting ill.
Take your time and enjoy it to be a bit lazy.
Meanwhile the Gerald Ford can fix their toilet issues...

J'attends avec impatience votre retour.
