Trump will not be good for the environment, but might just know better how to 'drain the swamp' this time around. He was snookered by the MIC at every turn last time, and they, in fact, may well have been the perpetrators of Solemeini's assassination. His unbated support of Israel was also reprehensible. However, he has some interesting people around him who might help him be more successful in taking on the Deep State this time around. JD Vance, weirdly evangelical that he is, is VERY bright, and was groomed by the Repugs from his college days.
The other really interesting person close to Trump is his 17-yr-old son Barron. He became mates with a boy of a similar age who is an influencer, and the two of them worked hard and mobilised millions of Gen X-ers to get out and vote. Who knew that this was happening? He was wearing an interesting tie on the victory podium, too. Navy blue with red stripes. I have no idea of his politics, but think that he is exceedingly bright and could soon start to wag the dog. I believe that he is a lot brighter than Harris, Walz, or Trump.
The Globalists are screaming blue murder, and 'inflation', about Trump's vow to re-introduce tariff protectionism. Dropping tariffs led to the de-industrialization of the US, UK, Australia, etc. Here in Oz our manufacturing sector went from employing 22% of the workforce to <8%. Making massive profits for the multinationals on the back of cheap Asian labour. It caused the wealth gap to keep on widening in the intervening years. Little wonder that the DNC has received the bulk of corporate sponsorship and MSM patronage. If Trump can improve this, and reduce the MIC budget, he will do well for the US economy.
He's also 6'9 and eligible to play for Scotland through his granny. Probably more suited to rugby at that height but we will take anyone for the football team. Ha ha
I think his first administration had one huge success, albeit a painful one, namely that he exposed the widespread, endemic nature of corruption in the US Body Politic, aka the 'Deep State' whose tentacles reach across many public and private sector areas. In this context, the blatant election theft in 2020 followed by outrageously petty and mean-spirited demonization and prosecutions only served to deepen the lessons already learned, albeit perhaps only dimly appreciated. This election yesterday marks a type of redemption arc, a deeply satisfying narrative that puts Trumps on the level of living Icon in the culture, both locally and internationally.
So to me what matters now is the degree he can use this considerable political capital (also manifest as powerful enemies arrayed against him) to effect substantive reform. He has been floating notions like eliminating the Income Tax, and Elon has invited Ron Paul onto his committee and today Congressman Massie, who will be the new Sec of Ag invited the famous free range farmer Joel Salatin to serve as one of six official Advisors to the Secretary'.
This is potentially the most dynamic Administration in the history of the nation. Only living Icons can do this sort of thing and he is one.
A fair appraisal Bob. One thing I found most surprising was the massive, in the millions, of voters who switched to Republican/Trump in the deep blue states like CA and NY and many others. They had no chance of winning those contests yet they went out and changed their votes anyway. That is a new dynamic I haven't seen before. Usually Rep voters don't both voting in deep blue democrat states, and vice versa. (I think I have the right.) The swings were enormous which is a big reason why Trump won the popular vote this time.
I don't think anyone's called me Bob in years. Thanks for that, Golden. It's good to have the views of someone with your experience of politics. The people of NY and CA have obviously had enough.
While the vote outcome is good news it will not lead to a rose garden . Trump can lead against the Diversity Equality Inclusive poison but American imperial decline is unlikely to be fixed - perhaps good news for non-americans although it would mean the USA loses the capacity to shakedown and exploit the rest of the world which won't be good for his ' deplorable ' supporters .
Russian leaders' views are appealingly clear . Putin , when asked ( by a snide American reporter ) about Russian ' interference ' in USA politics replied ' why would we bother ? It doesn't matter who is President in your country , the policy has never changed ' - meaning overthrowing any country - such as Russia - which attempts not to be an American vassal state .
Mevdeyev (? sp. ) said that if Trump really did stop the Ukraine war he will be a new Kennedy . Meaning he would be shot . Certainly his actions on Ukraine will show the boundaries of his independence from the ' Globalists ' ( a term that I think means ' The Jews ' - which people are afraid to state .) On Israel don't expect him to change anything - his stated position was that Bibi should finish ' them ' all off to get the matter put to bed quickly .
Domestically problems like massive indebtedness , gun violence , immigration , drugs will require him to use his ability to sidestep obstacles by ( illogical but entertaining ) rhetoric . The USA may continue to deteriorate . If it does , how long before my country rejects its lap-dog status and develops some nationalist balls ?
Thanks for that John - I don't think many will be expecting a Rose Garden - far from it and I am concerned about Trump's position on Israel. But none of this detracts from the enormity of the victory the American people have given the world. I will be reporting on some of the things you cover in my next Update. Which country are you from btw.
It's not really what Trump will do, but what the loonies can't do anymore.
Climate nonsense, gender nonsense, globalist nonsense etc etc etc.
You rightly point out that kudos is due to the American people who see Trump as a way out of the madness. Luckily for them, they had a choice. As a voter in the upcoming Irish election, I have no choice. All the parties are the DNC on steroids. Hopefully Trump succeeds and the Irish and other European 'democracies' wake up to reality.
You are on target. With out saying he is taking sides, he is simply going to say to Ukraine and Israel, we're out of money, our teat is dry, you need to make the best deal you can. The art of the deal. It is a good thing for both of them. Nutty yahoo is a taco short of a combination plate. But Trump has to consider the fanatic Christian Zionists in the US. Me, If they want rapture theyt should just put a 45 to their head, don't take the rest of us in a nuclear war. The Jews that moved to Palestine in 1948 can do just fine and continue to exist if they'll simply make a deal. Ukraine, the Eastern oblasts were Russian anyway. The remaining Ukraine should hook their economic wagon to the Russian horse because the EU is collapsing. Ukrainians, look beyond the end of your nose! Russia is the best economic bet!
When I said that this was the most important event of the century I did so from the point of view of someone who has been challenging Western imperialism for more than 30 years. For me, the significance of the election has nothing to do with an arrogant assumption made by a Westerner that events in the West are more important than those happening elsewhere. For those who read me carefully it will be obvious that I am focused on the emerging Multi-Polar World Order and the collapse of the Unipolar World Order. It is in this context that I view the US election as a very important event.
"the most important event of the century"??? You Americans (and American vassals) still think the world revolves around you, don't you? It is so ridiculous to call it "the most important event of the century" that I don't even know what to say to it. No, American voters and any American president do not have any standing in the world, as we, the global majority, do not care what Americans think, do, or vote. Sorry to say that but Americans brought it onto themselves. Americans do not matter to us. We watch US election only as entertainment, as circus, that is all. American elections are by no means historic events to 99% of us in the world, so stop being so self-centered, self-important and arrogant, so as to avoid further development of hatred towards America in the world. Trump did not stop any wars during his first mandate but escalated some of them, such as in Yemen - he sent an additional 2,000 troops to Saudi Arabia to help them defend against Iran or the Houthis; Trump administration has deployed 14,000 additional U.S. troops to the Middle East; he bragged how he kept US troops in Syria to take (read: steal) the oil; promised a grand deal with the Taliban that would allow the withdrawal of U.S. soldiers from Afghanistan but did not do it; in Africa, the total US forces under the Africa Command went up by more than double that amount from 2017 to 2018; the Trump administration has gone to preparing for war with Beijing... By March 2019, Trump has launched more drone strikes (2,243) than Obama did in his two terms in office (1,878).
So let’s face it: Trump is not against endless war. Like the globalists, he is the embodiment of endless war. It’s the essence of his operating system. Read all about it here, if you will: https://fpif.org/trumps-endless-wars/
Nevertheless, it might be good for the world that he has won, as he is perhaps the lesser of two evils.
Ignoring the USA and dismissing its importance is not a luxury for USA vassals . The UK ( my interest ) Europe , the Aussies have governments subordinate to the USA . The consequences of this include sending money- badly needed at home - to ' weaken ' Russia .
I'm not sure how the USA managed this but it seems to be maintained by .control of the information fed to people .
The internet is weakening that control so control of the internet is to be expected .

We want privacy. We want rights. We don’t want censorship, we don’t want government overreach and snooping. We don’t want to be told what to think, what to say, what to like, what to dislike, what to support, what to oppose: we are all adults capable of making up our own minds.

He was the head of the election integrity house committee and killed 90% of the reforms before they ever reached the floor. HE LOST HIS PRIMARY BID! It was us election integrity activists that stopped the steal because of the intense scrutiny. The point was and is: I, along with others, did something about it instead of simply talk about it! You are preaching at the choir.

It was us election integrity activists that stopped the steal because of the intense scrutiny. The point was and is: I, along with others, did something about it instead of simply talk about it! You are preaching at the choir.
Your original point wasn't clearly expressed, a job half done. This one was both clarifying and interesting, a job well done.
I totally agree
