It’s been a relatively quiet week in which the fallout from last Friday’s ICJ ruling against Israel has prompted much analysis and discussion. Israel appears not to have followed the court’s instructions and may be reported for this failure. The Zaluzhny exit that some commentators have been talking about for weeks has still not materialised but the fiasco of an attempted sacking has damaged the once great Z. The battlefronts in Ukraine are much the same as they were last week with Russia making steady gains. Farmer protests exploded all over Europe on the February 1st with plenty of manure spread on government buildings. The Mexico/Texas border crisis is pitting national guardsmen against Federal troops over barbed wire. Many people have been commemorating Genocide Memorial Day and the Russians were also marking the 80th anniversary of the lifting of the siege at Leningrad in 1945. Finally, as I write, a ceasefire in Gaza is a possibility.
Genocide Memorial Day January 27th
Today is Genocide Memorial Day and it could not have come at a better time following the ICJ’s ruling against Israel on Friday 26th January. Most people associate the genocide with Jewish people - and rightly so - but millions of Jewish and non-Jewish Russians were also exterminated by the Nazis. So today is an important day for Russians. In a speech at an event, Vladimir Putin said:
We are now seeing the results of the Nuremberg trials, in which Nazism was given an unambiguous legal assessment, actually being revisited. In some countries not only history is being rewritten and executioners are being justified: revanchists and neo-Nazis have adopted the ideology and methods of the Nazis.
In the Baltic States, tens of thousands of people are declared "subhuman" and deprived of their most basic rights and subjected to harassment. The regime in Kyiv glorifies Hitler's collaborators, the SS, and uses terror against all those who do not want it. Barbaric shelling of peaceful towns and villages and the killing of old people, women and children continue. In a number of European countries, Russophobia is being promoted as a state policy.
The event he was attending commemorated the lifting of the Leningrad/St. Petersburg Siege. It lasted 872 days and killed up to a million and a half people before the Nazis were pushed away from the city in 1945. I shudder to think about the suffering they endured. I take his point about Nazism. The only thing we should be intolerant of is intolerance itself. And the Nazis are the masters of intolerance (with Wokists coming in a close second).
Russia Wins at the ICJ
The ICJ has been considering Ukraine’s accusations of that Russia funded separatist groups in the DPR and LPR ten years ago. Ukraine wanted the LPR and DPR freedom fighters branded as terrorists. The court did not uphold Ukraine’s claims but gave Russia a slap on the wrist for not investigating the funding of the two breakaways states. You can read more here and here.
We’re Good Pals
At an interview in Moscow, Vladimir Putin said that he and Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko are friends. It looks that way from these photos.
Prisoner Exchange
195 Ukrainian prisoners were exchanged for 195 Russian POWs on the 31st January, according to Tass. Putin said that prisoner exchanges will continue in spite of the destruction of Ilyushin-76 by Patriot missiles which killed 65 Ukrainian POWs. I should also point out that some suspect that the Patriot system employed in this terrorist attack was operated by US servicemen.
Ukrainian Matters
New Ukrainian Mobilisation Bill - The Screw Tightens
A new mobilisation bill is being presented to the Ukraine parliament (RADA) and (if it passes) will make it even more difficult to avoid military service. Police will be authorised to arrest anyone they suspect is avoiding service and hospital doctors will be obliged to report any patients eligible for call up. Consular services in foreign countries will be available only to those aged 18-60 who have military registration documents. You can read more here.
Shoot Them in the Knees
The commander of the 118th Terrestrial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Anatoly Stuzhenko, proposes that all Ukrainians who refuse to mobilize should be shot in the knees. This is absolutely necessary, he said, otherwise we will lose the war. Setting aside the barbarism of this measure, it will also reduce the number of available fighting men. Personally, I would prefer to be shot in the knees than be blown apart by Russian artillery.
Ukrainian Politicians Stealing Aid and Shells
This is nothing new, I know but an ex Polish General has joined the chorus. According to RT:
Ukrainian military and political leader’s don’t believe in victory and are stealing Western aid on a massive scale, the former commander of Poland’s land forces, General Waldemar Skrzypczak, has said in an interview with the newspaper Fakt.
It appears that the shell supply business is just as corrupt as everything else in Ukraine. Apparently, shell suppliers have creamed off $40 million meant for mortar shells so that the grunt on the front is left defenceless. The SBU is investigating.
Ukraine Parliament in Crisis
Seventeen deputies from Zelensky’s Servant of the People are close to resigning. If they do so, it may be difficult for the assembly to pass laws.
Ukraine Saves Europe
Among the new myths being created in these false news times is one in which brave little Ukraine fought the Russian Hordes to a standstill, inflicted millions of casualties on them and preventing their further advance into places like France and Italy. This is what Z advisor Podolyak told viewers on Ukrainian TV while managing to keep a straight face.
Zelensky
Zeleboba Whines
The once great Z (also known as Zeleboba apparently, after a Russian Muppet) is whining at his Western bosses who, he claims, should have strongly opposed the Crimean referendum in 2014. If they had, the SMO would never have happened, he claimed. Sorry to have to point this out Zeleboba but honouring the Minsk Agreements would also have avoided the SMO and continuing the negotiations in Istanbul during March 2014 would have prevented the death and mutilation of hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians and many thousands of Russians. ‘It’s not my fault’, he is bleating, like a lamb being prepared for the slaughter. In a recent interview, the deluded Z also bragged about a Ukrainian army of 880,000 personnel and of ‘mythical’ Russian losses.
Zelensky Loves his People So Much
He loves his people so much that he has asked the Europeans to divert the money that sustains them in foreign climes to the Ukraine war effort.
Zelensky to Sack Zaluzhny?
As reported by the New York Times, it appears that the dismissal has been postponed for the time being. According to this report, Budanov and Syrsky have refused Z’s request to take over from Zaluzhny who has not been tempted by the alternative posts offered to him. This places the once great Z in a difficult position since his authority has been undermined. When you try to dismiss the commander of your armed forces and he sticks two fingers in your face, the future ain’t looking great. Alexander Mercouris initially believed that Z would be gone in couple of weeks. He explains why in this video (first 25 mins). But in another video, Mercouris suggests that Victoria Nuland’s visit to Kiev may have saved Zelensky. This whole thing is underpinned by factional fighting in the West and in Ukraine. So who knows what will happen?
Ukrainian Terrorist Attacks (attacks that target civilians)
27th January
Today, the border regions were attacked by ‘aircraft type’ drones while Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk and the DPR came under heavy shelling. Residential buildings and cars were among the targets. Meanwhile, a Kamikaze Drone injured a woman in the town of Novaya Khakovka on the left bank of the Dnieper. In the Belgorod region, the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka was shelled throughout the day. Several residential buildings were damaged, along with some power lines.

In the Kursk region, the village of Gordeevka in the Korenevsky district was shelled, resulting in damage to a household and car. In the Bryansk region, an aircraft-type UAV was destroyed over the territory of the Unechsky district, causing damage to the plaster of a residential building when the drone fell. In the Belgorod region, there have been shelling incidents in border areas. In the outskirts of the village of Kolotilovka, Krasnoyaruzhsky district, an AFU drone-kamikaze attacked an excavator, resulting in an injury to a worker with an open fracture of the right tibia and a laceration of the left leg. In Gorlovka and Donetsk (DPR), four civilians were wounded as a result of AFU strikes.
According to Slavyangrad:
As a result of the shelling of the Kalininsky district of Donetsk from MLRS (up to 8 missiles), there were killed and wounded, several buildings were damaged.
29th/30th January Overnight
Report from Two Majors:
Another terrible shelling of Donetsk led to the death of 3 civilians, 16 civilians in the DPR were injured. The practice of dropping ammunition from UAVs on civilians is becoming typical for the Nazis… In the Belgorod region, 3 Uragan MLRS shells were destroyed in the evening over the Grayvoron urban district. The outskirts of the village of Dolgoye, Valuysky urban district, the village of Tishanka, Volokonovsky district and the Oktyabrskoye village, Belgorod district, were attacked by 5 kamikaze drones. It is reported that an EW drone has been planted near the Slavneft YANOS Refinery in Yaroslavl.
In addition, Shelling and drones injured 7 people overnight in Gorlovka.
30th/31st January Overnight
According to the Two Majors:
On the Russian border, the intensity of AFU terrorist attacks increased significantly yesterday. In the Belgorod region, the villages of Mokraya Orlovka and Dronovka, Grayvoron urban district, and the village of Terebreno, Krasnoyaruzhsky district, came under AFU fire. In addition, the village of Stary Khutor of the Valuysky urban district was attacked by an AFU kamikaze drone. AFU drones hit the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka of the Shebekinsky urban district, the village of Bogun-Gorodok of the Borisov district, the village of Mokraya Orlovka of the Grayvoron urban district, and the village of Tishanka of the Volokonovsky district. The village of Pankov, Shebekinsky urban district, came under AFU fire. In the DPR, two civilians were killed and 9 were injured from shelling, incl. girl born 2010 The enemy hit civilians, buses and shopping pavilions.
You can access a more detailed report here.
1st/2nd Feb Overnight
The Two Majors gave this brief report:
In the Voronezh region, air defence destroyed 2 Ukrainian UAVs yesterday morning. In the Belgorod region, the village of Terebreno, Krasnoyaruzhsky district, and the village of Mokraya Orlovka, Grayvoron urban district, came under fire from the AFU. In Donetsk (DPR), a man born in 1960 was killed due to an enemy UAV dropping an explosive device. In Gorlovka, a civilian born in 1977 was wounded, the enemy dropped ammunition from a drone onto a bus of the city route No. 2.
The Sea War
29th January
Here’s an interesting report from the Two Majors:
Last night[i.e. 29th Jan], the Ukrainian Armed Forces made their first attempt in several weeks to attack the Crimean peninsula using drones. A total of 11 drones were shot down and landed by 31 air defense divisions in different parts of Crimea.
The majority of the unmanned aerial vehicles (nine units) were destroyed in the vicinity of the Swan Islands. We engaged with the drones at Portov, Razdolny, and Botanichesky. Some debris fell near populated areas, but without causing any damage to infrastructure.
Simultaneously, one of the drones exploded in mid-air, possibly due to electronic warfare interference. Based on its trajectory, it appears that the Ukrainian forces were targeting the positions of the 31st division.
Another drone was neutralized by electronic warfare equipment as it approached Cape Tarkhankut, causing it to fall into the water. The 11th drone was shot down as it approached the Belbek airfield.
By analyzing both the geography of the attack and the number of drones involved, it becomes apparent that the intention was not to inflict maximum damage, but rather to "test" the defense capabilities of the peninsula.
30th January
In the afternoon, 20 drones were shot down over the Crimea peninsular; including three in the sky above Sevastopol.
31st January
The Two Majors provided this comprehensive report of an attack on Crimea:
At least three Su-24M bombers from the Starokonstantinov airfield and several more Su-27 and MiG-29 fighters from the Kanatovo airfield flew towards the Nikolaev region.
Having reached Bashtanka , Ukrainian fighters fired ADM-160 MALD decoy missiles, which distracted air defense systems.
At the same time, AGM-88 HARM anti-radar missiles were used in the Kherson region to a maximum range of 150 km .
After this, six Storm Shadow/SCALP cruise missiles were fired from the Su-24M in the direction of Crimea. One was shot down over Krasnoperekopsk , another one over Gvardeyskoye .
The third missile was intercepted by a Su-30 fighter 50 km northwest of Sevastopol, and three more were on approach to Sevastopol - Belbek airfield.
After this, Ukrainian bombers went into a second circle and fired six more cruise missiles towards the Belbek airfield. The targets, rounding Tarkhankut , came from the sea.
Three were intercepted northwest of Sevastopol, two were intercepted over the airfield, and one was directly over the ground. Its debris crashed into the ground and detonated without causing damage to the runway.
At night, the attack by Ukrainian formations continued. Nine unmanned boats left Odessa and the mouth of the Danube River in the direction of Crimea.
Four of them were discovered by Russian sailors at the entrance to Lake Donuzlav . Fire was opened on them, as a result of which four drones were destroyed.
One of the Backs blew up right next to the side of the boat, damaging it. There is no data on the extent of damage at this time. Two patrol boats, two helicopters and a fighter jet were sent to search for the four remaining drones. During the operation they were hit and scuttled.
As can be seen from this attack, the Ukrainian air forces clearly aimed at the airfield network on the peninsula: Dzhankoy , Gvardeyskoye and Belbek . Considering that Storms/Scalps have a penetrating effect, the targets of the attack were most likely control posts.
However, it was later reported that the Russian missile ship Ivanovets (above) was sunk by naval drones during the attack which will be celebrated heartily in Ukraine.
But the Russians will be prompted to improve their air defences in this area.
1st/2nd Feb
According to the Military Chronicle:
A new attack on Crimea last night. In the area north of Cape Tarkhankut and Chernomorskoye, 7 enemy UAVs and up to 6-7 BECs (unmanned kamikaze boats) were spotted. They come closer to the shore and then retreat back into the sea. Also hanging in the air is an American RQ-4B drone, assessing the work of the 31st division of the Russian Air Force and Air Defense.
The Air War
Drones
The Eurasian Times is reporting that Russia is out producing Ukraine in drones by a factor of 7-1. However, I have seen reports that Ukraine’s drones outnumber Russia’s on some fronts - such as Krynki.
Russian Missile/Drone Attacks
27th January
According to Rybar:
Drones targeted an infrastructure facility in Zaporizhia. Additionally, local residents in the Dnipropetrovsk region reported a fire in the Novomoskovsky district. In the Poltava region, the Kremenchug Oil Refinery was hit, resulting in a large fire at the facility.
Later, Rybar reported:
Aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Russian Federation hit a S-300 air defence system in the Cherkassy region, fuel and aviation weapons warehouses in the Kirovograd and Dnepropetrovsk regions.
28th/29th January Overnight
According to Slavyangrad:
Ukrainian TG channels are reporting Geraniums in the direction of the Zhytomyr region and explosions in Voznesensk (Nikolaev region)
29th/30th January Overnight
According to the Military Chronicle:
The night was marked by a series of strikes on enemy military facilities in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Poltava, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions. An oil depot in Zmiivka, Kharkiv region, burned especially well.
30th/31st Overnight
Ukrainian Telegram Channels reported late on the 30th that powerful explosions had occurred in Kharkov, Zaporozhye and Pavlograd. Later, explosions in Poltava and Kremenchug oil refinery were reported. Explosions were also reported at Snigirevka, Volchansk and Krivoy Rog.
Ukrainian Missile/Drone Attacks
31st January/1st February Overnight
According to the Two Majors:
For the first time, Ukrainian aircraft-type UAVs flew to the Nizhny Novgorod region: suppressed by electronic warfare in the Kstovo district, refineries and petrochemical plants were the likely target.
The Ground War
Russian Mod Ukraine Casualty Reports
w/e 12th January 4720 Casualties killed and wounded: equipment losses 313 (including 15 boats)
w/e 19th January 5645 Casualties, killed and wounded: equipment losses: 417
w/e 26th January 5800 Casualties, killed and wounded: equipment losses: 375
Sorry, at the time of publishing the Russian MoD has not issued a weekly report.
The Fronts
Luhansk
According to the Two Majors:
In Svatovo Direction, our army is attacking towards Kupyansk. At Tabayevka and Krakhmalnoye ours are fighting their way towards Peschanoye, Berestovoye and towards Kislovka. The AFU have brought up reserves and are counterattacking, trying to hold our offensive back. Further west, in Kharkov, the AFU seems to be preparing for urban fighting, building fortifications in the vicinity.
Donetsk
In the Bakhmut direction, the Russians have surrounded Bogdanovka on three sides. They are now less than a kilometre from Chasiv Yar. Marat Khairullin provides a map of the fighting here (but it’s in Russian). The Ukrainians are attacking around Avdeyevka (Avdiivka) but the Russians are slowly advancing here. In south Donetsk, according to the Two Majors:
Our forces are successfully attacking north of Priyutnoye. They pushed the AFUback from a number of positions north of the village. In the Maryinka sector, ours are advancing on Novomikhaylovka from Zverinets and southwest of the village. The advance is about 0.5km. Our army is clearly aimed at taking the village in "pincers".
Zaporizhye - Rabotino - Verbove
The Russians are gradually taking back lost position on the Rabotino - Verbovoye - Novoprokopovka line.
Kherson
The Ukrainians continue to reinforce the 80 soldiers holding out in Krynki using boats, many of which have been destroyed. They are assisted by drone dominance in this area and a lack of electronic jamming on the Russian side. So it appears that the Russians do not have drone dominance everywhere. Anyway, the futile attempt to create a bridgehead at Krynki can serve only a publicity objective, not a military one.
The Economic War
IMF Forecasts Higher Russian GDP
The IMF had previously forecast Russian growth of only 1.1% but has revised this upwards to 2.6% - which means that the West is having to concede that the Russian economy is doing extremely well in spite of sanctions.
Russia Feeds The World
Another shipment of free fertilizer (i.e. 34,000 tons of potash) has been sent by Russia to Nigeria. Previously Russia had sent shipments of free fertilizer to Malawi, Zimbabwe and Kenya and free wheat to Burkina Faso - according to RT.
Ukraine to Get $54 billions EU Aid
This has been on the cards for some time but was delayed due to Hungarian objections. Now it looks as if Hungary has been bought off thereby freeing up the money.
World Politics
Protests
Farmers
The farmer’s protests are spreading throughout Europe. According to Zero Hedge:
Farmers from all over the country continue to converge on Paris in their fight against the Climate Scam & Climate Communism.
Here’s a summary of the farmer’s complaints:
Out-of-control energy prices (thank whoever blew up the Nord Stream).
Disastours carbon-cutting targets.
Overall inflation.
Bureaucracy from radicals in Brussels.
Ukrainian grain imports.
Belgium
Farmers were out protesting over the weekend in Belgium. You can see some short footage here. They were joined by French farmers to block the Belgium/France border. Here's some footage of tractors in Brussels. Tractors gathered outside the European Parliament Building where farmers burned tyres (see above photo).
Paris
In Paris over the weekend, farmers blocked all highways into the city and threw manure at government buildings. A priest enlisted the support of God by blessing a convoy of tractors travelling from Agen to Paris.
Italy
Italian farmers have also joined in as you can see here.
Germany
Farmers were also out protesting throughout Germany on February 1st. In Hamburg protesters blocked the port.
Portugal
Portuguese farmers have blocked several roads on the border with Spain.
Greece
Greek farmers protest against high energy costs and lower state subsidies.
Ireland
Biting off the Hand that Feeds You
If the world were free from the pressure of the politics that comes courtesy of the decaying Western Empire, it would make sense, with regard to the import of energy, to make deals with one’s neighbours rather than one’s distant political partners. It makes sense for Europe to get its energy from Russia while it makes very little sense for it to get it from more distant sources (including the US). But politics has been getting in the way of this simple logic for much too long and Europe has been biting off the hand that feeds it for the sake of the globalist project or US defence policy. Aleksey Overchuk, Deputy Russian PM, spoke of this in a recent interview where he pointed out that Europe’s recent prosperity was achieved largely due to cheap Russian energy. Since this simple economic relationship has now been destroyed we here in Europe must pay the piper. What obedient servants we are, what idiots we are!
Send Them Home
Mona Keijzer, representative of the Dutch farmer’s party the BBB has said that Ukrainian refugees should be sent back to safe areas in western Ukraine because the country cannot house them.
Hungary to Grab Transcarpathia?
Hungarian far-right politician László Torockai (above) has said that:
If Ukraine falls, we will lay claim to Transcarpathia. If as a result of the war the statehood of Ukraine ceases, then Our Motherland, as the only party in Hungary, will lay claim to Transcarpathia.
There may a few other countries out there waiting to grab bits of Ukraine. RT has more on this story here.
Sleepy Joe
He may appear to be an incompetent, demented idiot but Sleepy Joe (or his minders) are canny in political terms. Biden is also determined to get some money out of the US taxpayers pockets for Ukraine. He knows that Americans want the Mexican border shut so he is saying ‘gimme money for the Ukronazis and I’ll shut the border’ - not sure it will work though. Zero Hedge has more here.
Sleepy Joe turns into Genocide Joe
Don’t Mess With Texas
Russell Bentley, a Texas volunteer fighting Nazis in the Donbass had a message for Sleepy Joe:
I have a warning for Joe Biden and all the Nazis in Ukraine and elsewhere. This is good advice. Don't mess with Texas. Don't play with us. Texans are going to fight. And if they do, we can win, just like the people of Donbass did. This will be a lesson to Texas.
Bentley is referring to the clash between Texas National Guard and Federal forces over barbed wire on the Texas/Mexico border. Some believe that the US is on the brink of civil war. You can listen to him here.
Woke Japan
Some stories I come across inspire me, others lift me or intrigue me, while there are those that make me feel nauseous. Ukraine winning the Eurovision was one of those. But this Japanese Story ( also a great Ozzie film from 2003) is worse than that because it insults Japanese womanhood while virtue signaling that ‘we must support Ukraine in any way we can’ - so we are going to pretend that this Ukrainian girl is the most beautiful in Japan: just as Europeans pretended that Ukraine had the best song. Yuk!
Scary Narrative Working
According to a poll published in Bild, 46% of Germans are worried that they will be attacked by Russia and a staggering 40% are stockpiling in case war breaks out.
We Don’t Want them Here
American Nukes that is. Many in the UK will be outraged by what is only a hypothetical return of tactical (as opposed to strategic) nuclear weapons to these shores. Is this part of the scary narrative, I wonder? In response, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexei Zhuravlev said that if the United States places nuclear weapons in European countries, then the Russian Federation should place its nuclear weapons in places like Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela.
War is Peace - Stoltenberg
Well - Stoltenberg is not as Orwellian as that but he is saying that supplying arms to Ukraine will lead to peace?? But when I thought about it, he is correct. Supplying arms to Ukraine will lead to peace but will simply delay it a little. Are these people supposed to be intelligent?
The emerging Multi Polar World Order
ICJ Ruling
This is Alexander Mercouris’s account and analysis of the ruling (first 35 minutes). He believes that Israel would be wise to obey the court but he does not believe it will. If Israel fails to comply, it is possible that the ICJ will speed up its proceedings to complete the litigation by considering the prima facie case against Israel for genocide. In this event, the BRICS countries will take the matter to the UN Security Council and if Western powers veto moves to get Israel to comply with the court’s ruling they will lose credibility. The BRICS countries will then take the matter to the UN General Assembly where they could ask the ICC to indict Israel given that the ICJ has a prima facie case of genocide against Israel. The ICC was persuaded by the UN GA to indict Vladmir Putin for moving children out of a war zone so it can hardly refuse to consider an indictment of Israel on charges of genocide. If Israeli officials are indicted, they will not be able to travel to Europe without risking arrest. But Israel will also lose international support and could be subject to sanctions. I think I read that some countries are already acting in this respect. Algeria will be calling for the UN Security Council to be convened in order to enforce the ICJ’s ruling.
I have just read an encouraging article from RT regarding the significance of this historical judgement but the litigation could last years.
ECOWAS Withdrawals
Burkina Faso, Niger and Mali have withdrawn from the Western backed Economic Community of West African States.
Go Houthis!
The Houthis set a ship on fire but no one was injured. Oh - and the tanker was British. They followed this up a couple of times, so I’ve heard.
Western Extinction?
The other side of the coin to the emerging MPWO is the collapse of the West which Paul Craig Roberts, commenting on the Mexican/US border crisis, sums up in a sentence:
I have come to the depressing conclusion that the white ethnicities that constituted the nations of Western Civilization have degenerated into such insouciance and stupidity that they have no possibility of survival.
I don’t agree entirely but I take his point. Western elites have degenerated thus but not the everyday white Joe. However, most whites have played their part in this decline through ignorance, self-interest, insouciance (i.e. casual lack of concern) and stupidity.
Praise for Russia’s Leadership Role in BRICS
South African BRICS representative Anil Sooklal (above) has praised Russia’s leadership throughout the life of BRICS and for revamping the organisation since it took over the Chair earlier this year - according to RT.
Russia’s Non Dollar Transactions With BRICS Countries Increasing
85% of Russian transactions with other BRICS countries are now conducted in non-dollar currencies, according to the head of the Russian central bank, Elvira Nabiullina. This is a huge increase from the 26% figure of two years ago.
BRICS GDP Exceeds that of G7
The admission of new members to BRICS means that the organisation’s combined GDP (Purchasing Power Parity) is greater than the G7. RT has more here.
That’s it for another week. Thanks for your views, subscriptions, likes and comments.

Another great recap. Although at this point, I'm almost ignoring Ukraine as its fate is sealed.
The important story these days is the Middle East where an expanded war is almost certain. The best understanding of the reputed ceasefire being considered comes from Max Blumenthal on Judge Napolitano's Youtube channel yesterday:
Max Blumenthal: Biden’s Ukraine Blunders
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RVOnNhq9hc
Max, along with his co-host at The Grayzone, Aaron Mate (who has a Substack) has been giving truly excellent analyses of the situation, far better than the rest of Napolitano's guests. Highly recommended to follow Max there and at The Grayzone channel, as well as their Web site.
Another must-watch is this video from The Electronic Intifida, especially for Jon Elmer describing Hamas and Hezbollah weaponry and tactics against the IDF. 2-1/2 hours - watch it anyway. Most of the time you can just listen while doing something else!
Breaking news and analysis on day 117 of Gaza's Al-Aqsa Flood | The Electronic Intifada Podcast

"Hungary has been bought off" - My understanding is that the EU threatened Hungary with economic sanctions which, Hungary being relatively small, would have seriously damaged its economy. So Orban was forced to concede. So coercion rather than "bought off".
Thank you for this Report. Nice Illustrations.
It has been mentioned that ammunition in the Ukraine will last only for one month. But they already shoot with reduced capacity. How long will this go on? Will they get new ones? Or switch to other weapons? Or more cluster ammo? Or is there still something available at the global Market?
