Maduro Arrested
Defence Minister Survives Attack
Defence Minister Vladimir Padrino Lopez survived an attack by the US and spoke to the people:
Honor, duty, and history call upon us. Let the cry of a free Fatherland echo in every corner. Victory is ours, because reason and dignity stand with us. We will prevail.
Trump has said that no further action against Venezuela will be carried now that Maduro is in custody.
According to the Americans, this was an attack on Iran, Hezbollah, Russia and China - as Alex Christoforou discusses here.
According to Russian Diplomat:
To put the situation into perspective:
1. Venezuela has:
🛢 – the world’s largest proven oil reserves, amounting to approximately 303.8 billion barrels as of 2021. For comparison, Saudi Arabia has an estimated 267 billion barrels, and Kuwait has 101.5 billion barrels.
American refineries are designed specifically for Venezuelan heavy oil.
⛽️ – in 2021, the country’s proven natural gas reserves exceeded 5.6 trillion cubic meters. In the Western Hemisphere, only the United States had more reserves.
🪨 – Venezuela’s total iron ore reserves are estimated at 4.5 billion tons. In terms of iron reserves, the country is second only to Brazil in the region.
+ Venezuela has some of the world’s largest reserves of bauxite, an ore used to produce aluminum. The country’s total bauxite reserves amount to 950 million tons.
2. Caracas is a military and political partner and ally of Beijing, Tehran, Moscow, and even Ankara.
3. The events, other than those in Venezuela, are primarily directed against 🇨🇳 China. Current events rank alongside the war on Russian oil, protests in Iran, and events in the Middle East as a whole.
4. 🇮🇷 The attack on Venezuela occurred on January 3 – the sixth anniversary of the assassination of Qasem Soleimani, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, in Iraq, on Trump’s orders.
According to this report, many of the targets were symbolic.
This was an attack on the emerging Multi-Polar World Order and the unrest in Iran is part of it.
This is so big I couldn’t wait until Friday and wanted to create a forum for discussion. Many of us were hoping against hope that it wouldn’t happen but it has. It seems as if this is a declaration of war which must receive a strong and effective response from the emerging MPWO. If such a response is not forthcoming, many, including Cubans, will be fearful of similar regime changes. I will update this when more news comes in.

The US is simply sizing the country („run the country“). The US debt problem is resolved (called „reimbursement“) while EU’s is not and clever DJT will sell oil maybe even to China. But my guess is that act of war will bring China closer to Russia and may bring their defense assets and resources to Iran - it will change their military and foreign policies. It‘s history written as we speak. Europe is lost and just a puppy watching the play.
Very strange. Any soldier/militiaman with MANPADS can shoot down a helicopter, let's assume a hit probability of at least 0,2. Without any integrated air defense system or command. Venezuela doesn't have neither AH64 Apache nor CH47 Chinook. So, clearly enemy aircraft. By vision and by acoustic signature. So far, not even a single shot has been reported. Disturbing of command and control and major AD installations should have been expected and MANPADS distributed for guerilla use.
