Iran War Summary: Week Six
April 10th, 2026
The Iran War and The Donald’s mishandling of it, has dominated everything this week. Trump’s much anticipated tweets and video appearances are a focus of attention for many - which is what Trump wants. The Ukraine conflict is limited, predictably slow - while occupying only a small part of the history that is being created here, as we watch. In the Middle East, we are witnessing the most heroic battle ever presented to the popular imagination since David Slew Goliath. There will be ups and downs - as we have seen this week - but the pebble is on its inexorable journey to the centre of the giant’s forehead.
On day 40 of the war, I was disappointed that Iran, after saying for weeks that the US cannot be trusted, was lured into its spider’s web of deceit. I cannot believe that a country that had been subjected to deceit twice before should allow it to happen again. Iran had said that the ceasefire should include Lebanon and thought it had been included - but Trump simply lied, as he always does. So, it appears that someone has been incredibly stupid in allowing Iran to be fooled again - unless Iran had good reason to halt and negotiate. Given the fact that any one of the three 10 point plans produced by Iran is light years apart from the US’s 15 point plan, I have no idea what Iran expects to gain from talks. The same situation exists between Russia and Ukraine. But as I write, it has not been confirmed that talks are taking place.
The Zionists continue to murder Lebanese civilians in their hundreds and Iran has not been able to react due to its commitment to talks - apart from closing the Straits of Hormuz - which it should never have agreed to open. Hormuz performs better as a bargaining chip than a goodwill gesture. Trump’s hypocrisy knows no bounds as he criticises Iran for blocking free navigation in Hormuz when he has been blocking free navigation to Venezueala and Cuba for months, while killing innocent fishermen in the process.
It’s been an incredible week which has produced many frayed nerves. It is summarised below. My Ukraine Weekly Update can be viewed here.
4th April - Day 36
Summary of the 3rd April - After Publication
According to this report, an F-16 sent out a distress signal while over Saudi Arabia during the afternoon while Israel and the US attacked another university in Iran (The Plasma and Laser Institute at Shahid Beheshti University).
Kuwait and Safed came under attack during the evening along with Haifa. Also during the evening, according to Abu Dhabi Media Office, two fires broke out at Habshan gas facilities due to the fall of interceptor debris.
According to Iranian Television: The “Delaram” Hospital for Mental and Neurological Diseases in Tehran was evacuated due to the damage caused by the targeting of the hospital.
Iran also attacked the northern occupied territories.
Another F-15 was shot down this evening over the straits of Hormuz: the pilot was rescued. Black Hawk helicopters searching for the second pilot were forced to flee after being targeted by Iranian forces and an A-10 'Warthog’ plane involved in the search was shot down. According to this report, an F-16 or even an F-35 could have been shot down late at night.
4 civilians were killed in Tyre while a senior adviser to Tehran was injured and his wife killed by an USraeli attack, according to Zero Hedge:
A top Iranian official who was involved in diplomatic outreach and indirect talks or messaging with the United States and Pakistani mediators was reportedly critically wounded in a US-Israeli strike. Kamal Kharazi, an 81-year-old senior adviser to Tehran and former foreign minister, lost his wife in the Wednesday strike on his home,
Iranian Attacks - April 4th
Early this morning, the IRCG announced the launch of Wave 93 (True Promise - 4) against targets in Israel. Beersheba, the city of Dimona, the area of the Dimona nuclear reactor, and Afikim were all attacked along with the US Consulate in Erbil (Iraq).

The industrial zone of Negev was also targeted and a chemical factory was hit. This resulted in a fire attended by 10 fire crews and a chemical spill. And of course Tel Aviv was targeted again. Fires also broke out in Beersheba where Israeli Defence Ministry targets were hit. It seems that interceptors are being employed in Tel Aviv but the missiles are getting through. Cluster bombs are being used. According to this report, dozens of missiles have penetrated Tel Aviv’s defences.
Bnei Brak and Ramat Jan were also hit along with Beit Ativka and Kiryat Shmona. The Iranians also targeted the Adama chemical factory in Neot Hovav (southern occupied territories), according to Israeli sources.
During the early hours, explosions were heard in Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Sulaymaniyah in Iraq. The Iranians have denied that they attacked the US Embassy in Riyadh. A hotel housing US servicemen in Dubai’s Marina district was set alight while oil storage facilities were set alight in Basra, Iraq. Today, it was confirmed that the US owned Oracle Corporation in Dubai was damaged by Iranian attacks.
This morning the IRGC announced the launch of Wave 94 which will bring more misery to Dimona; Naqab, Beersheba and Ramat Gan. A done factory in Ptah Tivka was also damaged.
The above Chinook helicopter was damaged in Kuwait, yesterday. Early in the afternoon, a ship linked to Israel was set alight by an Iranian drone in Hormuz. In mid afternoon another attack was launched at Tel Aviv, Nahariya, Haifa and so on. The occupied territories also came under fire. In the middle of the afternoon the IRGC launched Wave 95.
Late in the evening, the HQ of the US owned Oracle technology company in Dubai was damaged by a drone. Just before midnight, due to drone attack, a major fire broke out at the oil sector complex in the Shuwaikh area of Kuwait. Israeli bases in Negev were also attacked at this time when missiles were launched towards Dimona and Beersheba. Sirens were also sounding at Dead Sea Hotels, the Dimona Nuclear reactor and at Ashkelon.
Hezbollah/Resistance Attacks
During the afternoon, rockets were launched by the Resistance in Lebanon towards the Israelis in the Golan Heights. Explosions were heard in Upper Galilee and Safed. Overnight and during the day, Resistance forces attacked
USraeli Attacks
Early this morning the Israelis targeted towns in Southern Lebanon with artillery. while the USraelis targeted a petrochemical factories in southwestern Iran. The Bashehr Nuclear Power Plant was hit for the fourth time today. If nuclear fallout is released it will affect the Gulf States rather than Tehran - but the Zionists don’t care about that. Late in the afternoon, the Usraelis attacked a food storage facility in Southern Iran.
Iranian/Palestinian/Lebanese Casualties
Early this morning, a husband, wife and their two children were murdered in Ain Baal in Southern Lebanon. Late in the afternoon, another 2 civilians were killed and 21 injured by Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon while 7 were killed and 4 wounded in Tyre. In Khan Younis, a Palestinian woman was killed by Israeli shelling. Just before midnight, at least 3 civilians were martyred in South Lebanon.
Gaza and its people are still suffering and the genocide has slowed down rather than stopped. The hospitals in Gaza are suffering through a lack of medical supplies and facilities but also from a lack of oil for generators providing the electricity for operations.
USraeli Casualties
Early this morning, a civilian was injured by shrapnel in Bnei Brak. The Israelis have reported 120 casualties in attacks on Israel during the past 24 hours. The attacks have also caused a building to collapse and fires to rage. During the evening, a Palestinian Telegram Channel reported that in an Israeli ambulance:
A heart and lung resuscitation operation is being carried out for a settler in Tel Aviv who was injured during the recent rocket attack.
The role of medical staff on both sides is worthy of praise.
Political/Diplomatic Moves
Donald J has been opening his mouth again - so we know that lies are in the air. This time, forgetting that he had previously claimed that he thought the war would last a couple of days, now announces that the war turned out to be ‘easier than we thought'. His timing, following the destruction of several US aircraft, could have been better. Yesterday, 1,500 US troops were evacuated from Bahrain.
Today, Trump called for a 48 hour ceasefire which the Iranians refused. Later, in the afternoon, Trump was huffing and puffing again:
Iran has 48 hours to reach an agreement or open the Strait of Hormuz before a great hell descends upon it.
But Iran has support:
So far, 10 million volunteers have joined the “Soul as a Ransom for Iran” campaign to confront any potential ground invasion of the country.
This figure had reached 111 millions by late evening.
Late at night, pro-Palestinian supporters tried to storm the UAE embassy in Syria calling it a ‘Zionist embassy’ and raising the Palestinian flag.
April 5th - Day 37
Iranian Attacks
Early this morning, the Iranians targeted Bapco’s oil facilities in Bahrain.
Around 6 am, a C-130 refueling/transport plane was shot down south of Isfahan. The US aircraft sent to rescue the pilot (i.e. 2 C-130 transport planes and 4 MH-6 helicopters) were all destroyed, though US propaganda is telling a different tale. According to this report, US planes have been bombing locations where the pilot may have landed in an attempt to kill him rather than allowing him to fall into enemy hands. Large crowds of Iranian citizens have been headed towards the assumed location of the second US pilot. They could be motivated by the reward being offered or by anger. The Americans claim to have rescued the second pilot and Trump, in his theatrical style, is celebrating on his Truth Social. This was the Donald’s Private Ryan moment.
However, Trump could be emanating BS - as he usually does. Whereas the Donald is celebrating a great victory, Iran is insisting that the rescue operation failed, that all the planes were destroyed and US servicemen killed. In response to questions about the loss of the helicopters, the Americans are trying to claim that these got stuck in the sand - so they destroyed them rather than let them into Iranian hands. It sounds as if this is from the same playbook as ‘US air defences shoot down their own planes in Kuwait’ - if you remember that one.
But what were the aircraft doing near Isfahan (where the ‘destroyed uranium enrichment facility is based)? According to a story from The Palestinian Times, 150 aircraft were involved - so it could not have been a rescue mission for a downed pilot. Alastair Crooke believes that this was an abortive attempt at seizing uranium and he provides some good analysis of the fiasco in a discussion with the Judge. Simplicius, true to form, provides some great analysis of ‘Isfahangate’ here and b and commentators discuss it at the MoA. There is no doubt that US servicemen and women were killed in the abortive raid, including one Amanda Rider. I wonder if they knew they were on a suicide mission.
Iran also targeted the occupied territories this morning and smoke was seen rising from a factory in Negev which lacked interceptors to challenge the Iranian missiles. In Kuwait, a drone hit a power plant at Al-Jahra where the Kuwaitis claimed that a desalination plant was also targeted by drones. However, it is by no means certain that these drones came from Iran: they could have come from Israel in a false flag operation. The Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company in Bahrain was attacked this morning causing a fire while the Sitra Oil Depot in Bahrain was hit, also causing a fire. Just before midday Haifa was attacked along with Beersheba and Negev where an attack on a factory could have leaked toxic substances.
Early this afternoon, Wave 95 was launched, followed by Wave 96 soon after. The latter targeted oil, gas and petrochemical industries in Haifa; the UAE; Bahrain and Kuwait. You can read more detail here. During the evening, Wave 97 was launched and targeted USraeli assets in Israel and the Gulf. You can read more here.
Late in the afternoon, Haifa, Acre and Nahariya all came under attack along with the occupied territories. Late at night Kuwait came under attack once again. Here, the Shuaiba petrochemical plant was hit.
Hezbollah/Resistance Attacks
Just after midnight, a Resistance drone hit the US Consulate at Erbil. Early this morning, Hezbollah hit an Israeli ship with a missile off the coast of Lebanon. Acre, Galilee, Kiryat Shmona and Haifa all came under attack this morning. Early in the afternoon Safed and Meron base were also attacked. During the early part of the evening it was reported that Hezbollah had damaged an ‘Israeli’ ship with a missile 70 miles off the coast of Lebanon BUT it turned out to a British ship - which is fair enough because the UK is definitely a participant in the conflict. Late in the evening, Hezbollah launched rockets into Galilee.
USraeli attacks
This evening the Israelis attacked the suburbs of Beirut hitting an apartment building east of the city. The head of the Lebanese Forces center in Yahshush, Pierre Moawad, was killed in a raid targeting the hills of Ain Saadah. His wife is still trapped under the rubble. Late in the evening, a police officer and the major were killed in the town of Abba in Nabatiya.
Iranian/Palestinian/Lebanese Casualties
In Shoa Square (Gaza) this morning the Israelis killed 4 civilians, while in Southern Lebanon a civilian was killed by a Zionist attack as he rode his motorbike. Late this morning, the Zionists attacked the Al-Janaq area south of Beirut, killing 4 and injuring 39. During the evening, a woman and her husbands were killed in Southern Lebanon while another was killed at the Al Buraj camp in Gaza.
USraeli Caualties
According to this report, 66 IDF officers and men have been injured over the past 3 days but some must have been killed. 2 bodies were recovered from beneath the rubble in Haifa today.
Political/Diplomatic Moves
According to Professor Marandi, following the USraelis decision to attack its energy infrastructure, Iran has broken all diplomatic communications with the US until after the congressional elections in November.
Trump is getting more and more angry: huffing and puffing until he is blue in the face:
Tuesday will be a day of power stations and bridges, all in one day, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the damn strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll live in hell — just watch!
Thank God
In doing this he will be bringing much destruction on Israel and his Gulf ‘allies’. But his enemies have a stay of execution as he delayed his deadline until the 7th April. Declaring his intention to commit war crimes, Trump said that he will destroy all ‘defeated’ Iran’s bridges and its energy facilities and bomb it back to the stone age. And the Americans, not the Iranians, will be collecting tolls in Hormuz. Only in your dreams fella. He even said that he would run for the Presidency of Venezuela.
I wonder if the Donald is aware that he is an embarrassment as far as most of the world is concerned. He bears comparison with Caligula rather than Marcus Aurelius.
6th April - Day 38
Iranian Attacks
Early this morning, Dubai came under attack from Iranian drones along with Tel Aviv; Ramat Gan; Petah Tivka and Bnei Brak. Tel Aviv was hit by 15 cluster bombs. The occupied territories, including Jerusalem, were also attacked. It appears that another F-35 is in trouble having issued an emergency call in Southern Iraq. Haifa oil refinery was also attacked in the small hours along with Beersheba. The Victory US base in Baghdad was also attacked this morning.
In late morning, missiles fell on Ramat Gan; Tel Aviv and in the early afternoon an Iranian missile hit an Israeli cargo ship. Petah Tivka industrial zone was attacked again late this morning. In the early afternoon, Wave 98 was launched. According to the IRGC, the attacks:
struck the Zionist-linked container ship SDN7 with a cruise missile, setting it ablaze. Ballistic missiles also hit northern and southern Tel Aviv, key sites in Haifa, chemical facilities in Be’er Sheva, and Zionist army positions in Bat Hefer, bypassing air defenses.
— The US amphibious assault ship LHA7, carrying over 5,000 personnel, was hit by a rapid missile barrage, forcing it to retreat deep into the southern Indian Ocean.
— Drone and missile strikes also targeted the UAE–Zionist joint drone production center and aircraft at Ali Al-Salem base.
Iran also struck the US Al-Adairi base in Kuwait; Bnei Brak and Jerusalem. Hezbollah, Iran and Ansar Allah launched a joint attack this afternoon: the latter attacked Eilat in occupied Palestine. In mid afternoon, another F-35 declared a general emergency over Iraq. Late at night, rockets and drones destroyed a helicopter storage site at the Al-Udeid US air base in Kuwait where 16 US soldiers were injured. Tel Aviv and Haifa were attacked again along with chemical factories at Beersheba, a military site at Bat Yam and a drone production facility at Al Al Salem in Kuwait. Erbil came under attack once again along with Jubail in Saudi Arabia where a fire broke out.
The fourth largest chemical plant in the world (above) was hit at Jubail. The SABIC petrochemical plant in Jubail was also hit late at night, causing a fire. The Al-Kharj base in Saudi Arabia, which hosts E-3 early warning aircraft and reaper drones, was also attacked.
Hezbollah/Resistance Attacks
In the wee hours, Hezbollah attacked Israeli positions in the Golan. In the afternoon, they attacked Western Galilee and Acre with rockets.
During the evening they continued to hit Merkava tanks and groups of IDF soldiers.
USraeli Attacks
The USraelis continue to attack civilian targets in Tehran. Sharif University was among the targets hit early this morning. In the early afternoon in Iran, the USraelis attacked an industrial unit in Qazvin; the Kangan petrochemical refinery; electronic industries in Shiraz; a high power generation station in Shiraz and the large petrochemical factory near Marvdasht. Another petrochemical plant was attacked at Asaluyeh in Southern Iran. The Zionists also attacked the Maghazi camp in Gaza killing 7 and injuring dozens. It seems that the USraelis are hitting Iranian power facilities even before Trump’s deadline: this evening they bombed power station 123 in Mashhad (North East Iran). Late at night they targeted 3 cities in Isfahan Province.
Iranian/Palestinian/Lebanese Casualties
During the morning, 13 civilians were killed and another 20 injured in an attack on a residential area of Tehran. The driver of a WHO vehicle was also killed this morning in Gaza. Overnight attacks on residential areas of Tehran province left 4 boys and 2 girls dead. They were all under 10 years old. 4 more were martyred in a residential part of Baharestan (Iran). In South Lebanon, overnight, 2 medics were martyred. The head of IRGC intelligence, General Majid Khademi, was also martyred today. 7 civilians have been killed ad 17 injured in Gaza during the past 24 hours. In the afternoon, 4 were killed and 7 injured in an attack on residential areas of Tehran. In a separate incident, 19 civilians were killed (including 6 children) in Tehran. Since dawn today, another 8 have been murdered in the Gaza Strip. During the evening, 3 civilians were killed by GBU-39 bombs in Lebanon.
USraeli Casualties
At least 9 people were injured in attacks on Haifa this morning. An Iranian spokesman claimed that 25 US troops were killed or injured by strikes on the UAE.
Political/Diplomatic Moves
Through intermediaries in Pakistan, Egypt and Turkiye, the Americans are attempting to negotiate a temporary 45 day ceasefire in Hormuz, but Iran is not interested. Iran has offered the USraelis a 10 point plan as a basis for negotiations, which includes a permanent peace and the lifting of sanctions on Iran.

April 7th - Day 39
Iranian Attacks
Early this morning, Iran launched another attack which targeted the south of the occupied territories. Negev, Tel Aviv, Eilat and Nahariya were also attacked. Some rocket fragments hit Bnei Brak railway station. According to this report, targets close to Dimona were also hit early this morning. In mid morning the IRGC announced the launch of Wave 99. This Wave attacked petrochemical complexes in Al Jubail (Sadra, ExxonMobil, Dow Chemical) and Al Juaymah (Chevron Phillips) in Saudi Arabia. They were hit with medium-range missiles and suicide drones. A container ship at port in the UAE was hit and the carrier group CVN 22 was chased into the Indian Ocean. According to this source:
an attack targeting the Soraya Satellite Communication Company in Sharjah, UAE. The company is the satellite services arm of Space 42 and provides coverage across more than two-thirds of the Earth.
Late in the afternoon, Iranian missiles were launched towards Eilat, Beersheba and Tel Aviv where explosions were heard. Zionist positions in the Gaza strip were also hit along with targets in Qatar; the UAE; Bahrain and Kuwait.
According to the Headquarters of the Seal of the Prophets:
We targeted more than 30 points in “Rishon LeZion”, “Beit Shemesh”, Be’er Sheva, “Dimona”, “Arad”, “Kiryat Gat”, and “Ofakim”.
Iran is also targeting US petrochemical complexes at Sadara; Exon Mobile and Dow Chemicals in Jubail (Saudi Arabia).
Late in the evening, Iran began another wave of attacks targeting Jerusalem
Hezbollah/Resistance Attacks
This morning Hezbollah and Iran sent missiles towards Galilee; Safed, Acre and Mashhad. Tel Aviv suffered 16 impact sites. In the afternoon, Islamic Resistance targeted the Zionist’s Nesherim base with missiles. In the evening, the US Victory base in Iraq was targeted.
USraeli Attacks
Tehran was attacked during the early hours along with a residential area of Pardis City, Tehran Province.

The USraelis also attacked Kharg Island around midday along with the railway station at Kashan in Iran. The Yahya Ahbad bridge also came under attack and a massive explosion was heard at the Qarcheh industrial complex in Iran. The Tabriz railway line was also hit. The USraelis are also attacking key railway bridges across Iran and have targeted the Parchin military complex in Tehran. During the evening the Israelis attacked the suburbs of Beirut.
Iranian/Palestinian/Lebanese Casualties
No reports seen.
USraeli Casualties
No reports seen.
Political/Diplomatic Moves
Today, Iranian protesters formed human chains around the power stations and bridges targeted by Trump who considers these people to be terrorists and has vowed to kill them. Go ahead Donald, the world is watching. Articles of impeachment are to be introduced by Congresswoman, Yassamin Ansari against one Peter Hegseth: AKA - Tough Guy Pete. Today, Trump claimed that following the expiration of his deadline, ‘a whole civilization will die tonight'. I wonder, is he talking about Israel? But this could be understood as a threat to use nuclear weapons which will be deeply concerning for most of the world. Former Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene calls for the 25th Amendment (removal of Trump from office), saying Iran hasn’t dropped a single bomb on America and warning, “we cannot kill an entire civilization.” The Iranians have warned that if Trump starts to attack energy infrastructure the whole region, including Saudi Arabia, ‘will be completely plunged into darkness’.
14 millions Iranians are willing to sacrifice their lives in order to protect Iran’s bridges and infrastructure, including President Pezeshkian.
Stumbling Starmer is preventing the US from using its bases for targeting bridges, whereas he should have the guts to stop them altogether since the bombers are targeting civilians every single day. FFS grow a pair Keir.
Iran has severed all diplomatic ties with the the USraelis: it will not open the Straits to its enemies.
China and Russia are blocking a UN Security Resolution condemning Iran and demanding the the Straits of Hormuz are opened.
The Brits are pulling their troops out of Iraq for fear of being hit by Iranian missiles.

8th April - Day 40
In the early hours of this morning, in an astonishing development, the Ayatollah ordered that all Iranian missile attacks to stop. This is discussed in some depth below.
Iranian Attacks
In the early hours of this morning, before the ceasefire, Iran launched Wave 100, which attacked Kuwait; the UAE and Tel Aviv. Haifa was also attacked along with Saudi Arabia; Qatar and Negev. Bnei Brak was also hit along with Petah Tivka.
Hezbollah/Resistance Attacks
In the early hours of this morning Ansar Allah launched a missile towards Israel. This was before the ‘ceasefire’. Following Zionist attacks on Lebanon, Kiryat Shmona was hit in retaliation.
USraeli Attacks
Early this morning the Zionists attacked Tyre and Sidon, causing casualties.
At 10 am Iran time the USraelis broke the ‘ceasefire’ to attack an oil refinery on Lavan Island. It looks as if the Iranians attacked Kuwait and the UAE in retaliation. The Zionists also attacked Southern Lebanon which may not have been included in the ceasefire. According to this, the Zionists have attacked Southern Lebanon 70 times today. Tyre was also attacked.
This afternoon, the Al-Rafai building in Beirut (above) was the subject of a devastating attack. During the evening 3 raids were carried out on the Qasimiyah maritime bridge in southern Lebanon.
Iranian/Palestinian/Lebanese Casualties
Early this morning, 19 were killed and 12 injured by a Zionist attack on Sidon (Lebanon). During the early evening the Zionists attacked an ambulance in Southern Lebanon killing 4. In these latest attacks on Southern Lebanon, 254 civilians have been murdered and 1,165 injured. Dozens more are trapped beneath the rubble. The Zionists continue to violate the Gaza ceasefire as 2 more are killed in air strikes. Another report suggests that a total of 300 have been killed in Lebanon so far today when the Zionists have attacked 100 sites. It looks as if the Zionists have not accepted the inclusion of Lebanon as part of a ceasefire they did not negotiate.
The children above were murdered by the Zionists in Lebanon in one day.
USraeli Casualties
I didn’t see any reported.
Political/Diplomatic Moves
The Three Plans
I have seen three different 10 point plans which have allegedly been composed by Iran.
On the 8th April, Iranian sources announced that a ceasefire had been reached based on the following 10 point plan:
1. Guarantee that Iran will not be attacked again
2. Permanent end to the war, not just a ceasefire
3. End to Israeli strikes in Lebanon
4. Lifting of all US sanctions on Iran
5. End to all regional fighting against Iranian allies
6. In return, Iran would open the Strait of Hormuz
7. Iran would impose a Hormuz fee of $2 million per ship
8. Iran would split these fees with Oman
9. Iran to provide rules for safe passage through Hormuz
10. Iran to use Hormuz fees for reconstruction instead of reparations.
Note that this version of the plan does not include acknowledgement of Iran’s right to enrich uranium, but this is the version some say has been accepted by Trump. But the following version of the plan provided by The Palestinian Times does include the right to enrich.
Commitment to non-aggression by the United States and its allies.
Continuation of Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz.
Recognition of Iran’s right to uranium enrichment.
Lifting of all US primary sanctions.
Lifting of all US secondary sanctions.
Termination of all United Nations Security Council resolutions against Iran.
Termination of all International Atomic Energy Agency Board of Governors resolutions.
Payment of compensation to Iran for damages.
Withdrawal of US combat forces from the region.
Ending the war on all fronts, including Lebanon.
Some say that Trump has apparently agreed to the version of Iran’s 10 point plan below as a basis for negotiations. Talks are due to be held in Islamabad on Friday ‘with complete distrust of the US'. How on earth can Iran entertain negotiations with people who it admits are devoid of trust? Trump has said that there will be no enrichment of Uranium and that countries supplying weapons to Iran will be tariffed - which means the plan is dead in the water.
STATEMENT BY IRAN’S SUPREME NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL:
‘The United States has agreed to Iran’s 10-point plan.
1. Commitment to non-aggression.
2. Continued Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz
3. Acceptance of uranium enrichment
4. Lifting of all primary and secondary sanctions
5. Termination of all resolutions of the UN Security Council and the IEAE Board of Governors
6. Payments of compensation for Iran.
7. Withdrawal of American combat forces from the region.
8. Cessation of war on all fronts.
I have to say that I’m disappointed with the Iranians who know full well that the Zionists have never honoured a ceasefire - and true to form they violated the ceasefire within hours by attacking Southern Lebanon. The severity of the attacks which killed more than 300 civilians appears to indicate that it was planned for this moment when many Resistance members would be caught unawares. It appears that Lebanon was never included as part of the ceasefire, which Trump confirmed late in the afternoon - yet Iran and the Pakistani mediators believed that it was. In view of the Zionist attacks on Lebanon, Iran will remain resolute. It will keep the straits closed to enemies and will (I hope) join with Yemen in attacking Zionist military targets before too long.
Iran has insisted that it will not attend talks if there is no ceasefire in Lebanon but I would humbly suggest that any further attempts at negotiations will inevitably involve additional pits for the Iranians to fall into. They have been bitten three times now so should follow their inductive reasoning and refuse any contact with the US - which they have steadfastly adhered to until now. I think this is what the people of Iran want - according to demonstrations.
This evening Karoline Leavitt revealed that Trump didn’t even look at the 10 point plan but threw it in the trash. Looking at this from a human point of view, those who abuse us are not usually given a third chance. The husband who pleads with his wife to give him another chance after beating her for the second time is rarely afforded that third chance!
But for reasons unknown to me the Iranians will likely attend talks in Istanbul, where the delegation led by Araghchi will meet with the three incompetents: Vance; Kushner and Witkoff.
So, it will be interesting to see how things develop from here.
Iranian demonstrators in Tehran chanted: ‘A truce without Lebanon is a betrayal of Islam'. There were protests in many Iranian cities demanding support for Hezbollah.
The Israelis are not pleased with this deal, according to Yair Lapid:
Brent Crude - $94.43 (On the way down after the phony ‘ceasefire’).
9th April - Day 41
Iranian Attacks
Kuwait claims to have been under attack by drones but it does not follow that this is true or that the attacks were carried out by Iran. And if they were carried out by Iran was this a reasonable retaliation. The waters are muddy here.
During the evening, explosions were heard in Dubai and it was reported that a National Guard site was attacked in Kuwait. The IRGC has announced that neither of these attacks or those reported in Saudi Arabia was carried out by Iran.
Hezbollah/Resistance Attacks
Following the genocidal Zionist attacks on southern Lebanon during the ‘ceasefire’ Hezbollah has announced the resumption of hostilities and attacked the Manara settlement at 2.30 am this morning. It also attacked Kiryat Shmona and Avivim with rockets. In the afternoon, Hezbollah attacked Shlomi and Kfar Yuval. Laith Marouf has pointed out that Hezbollah, with a force of only 3,000 men is holding back 150,000 Zionists on the southern border of Lebanon. Only 10% of its forces have been mobilised.
Late in the afternoon, Hezbollah attacked Nahariya and the northern occupied territories. In the early evening Galilee was also hit. Later in the evening a gathering of IDF soldiers was hit at the Southern Lebanon border.
Late at night, missiles targeted Nahariya, Acre, Haifa, and Khudaira (see map). North of Tel Aviv and Sharon region were also attacked with missiles launched from Lebanon, while a scud missile was launched at Tel Aviv itself. Galilee was also attacked with missiles and drones along with Ashdod where the naval base was hit.
USraeli Attacks
The Zionists are laying siege to the Lebanese city of Bint Jbeil but I have seen no other reports of attacks today. However, the Zionists and Hezbollah are still clashing in Lebanon. Late at night, the Zionists attacked many town in Southern Lebanon.
Iranian/Palestinian/Lebanese Casualties
5 civilians were killed in Gaza during the morning. In the evening, a child was shot in Ramallah’s refuge camp. Late in the evening, 1 person was injured and another killed by an attack on Qana (Southern Lebanon).
USraeli Casualties
I have seen no reports of casualties today. However, since it is being reported that Israeli rescue helicopters are in action in Lebanon, there must be casualties.
Political/Diplomatic Moves
Late this morning, the Iranians announced that they will attend talks in Islamabad only on condition that the Zionists stop attacking Lebanon. An Iranian spokesman has announced that Iran and the Resistance forces must be treated as one entity; the ceasefire must apply to all or none. Iran is acting as if the USraelis can be trusted: they can’t. I have no idea what happened here. Was the confusion about the ceasefire deliberate or another product of incompetence? Could it be the case that the US agreed to include Lebanon in the ceasefire but Israel - not having been included in the negotiations - decided to throw its deadly toys at hundreds of Lebanese civilians in a final killing spree? And why did Iran agree to a ceasefire when it occupied such an advantageous position. It is possible that it suited Iran so they could get prepared for the next stage. This will apply to all sides.
In the afternoon, Netanyahu announced that he will enter negotiations with the Lebanese government, which is not necessary supported by the Lebanese people or Hezbollah. And of course Bibi is calling for Hezbollah to disarm. According to this report, Bibi’s ‘initiative’ was prompted by Orange Man himself. However, according to this report, Netanyahu is insisting that there will be no ceasefire against Hezbollah. Note that he is separating Hezbollah from the Lebanese government he is negotiating with. But given his statement, is there any point in negotiators going to Istanbul?
According to this report, no Iranian delegation has been sent to Islamabad because there is no ceasefire in Lebanon. Negotiations have been suspended, according to this. But other reports claim that the Iranian negotiators have traveled to Istanbul.

I have seen conflicting reports about the talks in Istanbul: some say they are going ahead, but others, such as the following, claim that an Iranian delegation has not traveled to Islamabad:
US-Iran talks frozen as Tehran demands Lebanon ceasefire — Iran denied reports its delegation had arrived in Islamabad, with sources stating negotiations remain suspended until Israel halts attacks on Lebanon. CBS News reported Trump initially agreed the ceasefire would cover Lebanon but reversed course after a call with Netanyahu, who secured a US green light to continue operations while agreeing to avoid “major” strikes for two weeks.

Iran wins a lot PR wise by agreeing to a ceasefire, and having Israel violate it. And Herzbolla is doing well against the Israeli military, as can be seen as the reduction in Israeli goals. It's turning into a meat grinder for Israel. Israel is doing its typical terror campaign in Lebanon, so they can claim victory. The Persian Gulf is now under Iranian control, and closed except for Iranian Oil. Which creates more pressure on Trump. And Trump can say whatever he wants, but the fact is the Iran has not lost.
Iran needs to go through 'negotiations' to expose endless US perfidy as part of the information war which they are winning hands down. It will also give it time to breath and although the US and Israel are stocking up on weapons, they are running short. Trump also has massive problems within the USA. He has three options - a full scale invasion; use of nuclear weapons or find an excuse to withdraw. In whatever case, he has lost. What Iran is doing is driving a wedge between the US and Israel - Trump will want to find an excuse and blaming Israel for 'faulty intelligence' is the obvious one. The appallingly sad thing about this is the blood that will be shed by people who are not in any way to blame - particularly children. But make no mistake, this is a watershed in world history. People in the USA are turning and in Israel the one thing they can't cope with is defeat. They have lost their minds and defeat will make them turn on Netanyahu. They could well threaten to resort to nukes. Which is why, in my view, Iran must get secure protection and if it can not, then resort to developing nukes. My advice is - arm yourself to the teeth and get air defence/ missile aid from Russia and China. And don't bend...
