Iran War Summary: Week Eleven
15th May 2026

This week, the standoff continues in the war between Iran and the US with the Israelis impatiently waiting for Trump’s permission to expand their murder and destruction. The Iran War, the Zionists claim, will be considered lost if the Americans fail to steal Iran’s enriched Uranium. But most of all the Zionists want Iran destroyed or brought to heel. They will most certainly be disappointed in this regard. They are already disappointed with their failure to deal with Hezbollah in South Lebanon as IDF casualties mount.
In the Persian Gulf, the Iranians have almost total control of Hormuz while Trump and his team are desperately seeking the least humiliating off ramp possible. The Donald continues to regurgitate his deluded account of fantasy negotiations with Iran and is in China as I write hoping that Xi and Putin can help him out of this mess. With Trump in China, it has been possible to relax a little about a return to the hot war. But tensions will return when the markets close at the end of the day.
The US’s propaganda narrative has been reduced to one line: ‘Iran cannot be allowed to have nuclear weapons’. This is repeated by Trump, Hegseth and Rubio at every opportunity. Every question from journalists about the impact of the war on the American people; the rising gas prices etc. are answered with that same line: ‘Iran cannot be allowed to have nuclear weapons’. They stand behind this phrase to protect them from all allegations of wrong doing. I think they are hoping that people listening to this constant refrain will assume that Iran will obtain a nuclear weapon imminently - therefore war on Iran is justified.
However, more and more people are seeing through the nonsense as the true damage inflicted by Iran on the US is being revealed along with the the lack of damage inflicted by the USraelis on Iran. This conflicts with the lies they have been told. There are signs that truthsayers are having their voices heard more than at any time since February 28th. Surprisingly, the Iranians are doing well in the propaganda image war as their superb Lego series continues to impress (see photo above).1
Things have become more hopeful this week for those who oppose genocide and imperialism: for the optimists among us, at least.

8th May - Post Publication
Early in the afternoon, the Zionists killed 2 motorcyclists on the Arab Al-Jal road in Southern Lebanon while 3 were martyred and 2 injured in Dirantar Square. Three more were killed in a raid on Zararia early in the afternoon. Up until 2 pm (roughly) the Zionists had conducted 60 raids on Southern Lebanon. Later in the afternoon, the Israelis announced that they are taking 2 brigades out of Southern Lebanon leaving one brigade to conduct offensive action and two others to assume the defensive. Tyre also suffered Zionist attacks which killed 4 and injured 8. The Zionists are also conducting raids into Southern Syria. In the mid afternoon, sporadic fighting between US and Iranian forces in Hormuz was reported. The Americans claim to have disabled 2 Iranian ships attempting to break the blockade near Oman while the Iranians claim to have intercepted a tanker which was violating the rules. The UAE is maintains that Iran attacked it with 2 ballistic missiles and 3 drones late at night. According to this report, Dubai International Airport was among the targets. However, the Iranians deny that they were involved in the attack.
In the afternoon the Zionists ventured into East Lebanon to attack Nabi Sheet, while continuing to attack towns in Southern Lebanon. Meanwhile, Hezbollah launched several attacks, including one that hit a gathering of IDF vehicles in Tyrehrafa with drones and another that hit a gathering of IDF soldiers at Rashaf.
Later in the evening 2 Iranian vessels - the M/T Sea Star III and M/T Sevda - which were sailing under the Iranian flag to an Iranian port, were attacked by the Americans because they violated the blockade.
Smoke was seen coming from Dubai airport on the 8th May - even though the UAE authorities claimed to have destroyed all the Iranian drones launched at them. However, the Iranians have denied attacking the UAE.
At the UNSC, Russia has asked the US and Bahrain to withdraw their resolution on Iran. ‘We can’t see any potential for this document’, the Russians said, pointing out that the draft Russian-Chinese resolution is still on the negotiating table.
9th May - Day 70
The Fighting
Overnight, the Iranians attacked 3 US destroyers which were targeting oil tankers close to Hormuz. They claim to have launched 8 cruise missiles and 24 drones at the US ships state that 1 missile and 3 drones hit their targets causing damage and fires. The destroyers fled the scene where one Iranian marine shouted after them: ‘go ahead and flee! Here is the cradle of the earth and the land of the Iranians, here is a piece of Islam’.
Trump’s version of these events presents a more heroic role for the destroyers and their crews who continued their passage, he claims, unperturbed by Iranian fire. But in reality, the little boats of the non existent Iranian Navy humiliated the destroyers.
As of 10.30 am (GMT) today the Zionists had killed 10 civilians in Southern Lebanon. Around midday, Hezbollah hit yet another Merkava in Nimr al-Jamil. In the afternoon, another civilian was killed and his daughter injured while the Resistance targeted a group of IDF soldiers in al-Bayada. Hezbollah launched several attacks during the afternoon, including one that damaged a D-9 dozer while the Zionists, deadly as ever, killed 13 in an attack on Saksakia.
The picture above shows Maryam Fahs with her mother. Both were murdered by the Zionists at Saksakia, along with several family members.
Meanwhile in America
Late in the afternoon, the Zionists injured a motorcyclist in Gaza while Hezbollah disabled another Merkava in al-Bayada. Shlomi in Galilee was also attacked with rockets while Western Galilee was hit with both rockets and drones. Late at night, the Zionists killed 1 and injured 13 in an airstrike on Bidias in the South and killed 3 more in an attack near Al-Maghazi camp.
The Zionists have also been busy in Queneitra, Syria, where they dropped 8 bombs.
Political/Diplomatic/Military Moves
According to this source, ceasefire negotiations in Gaza are stalled due to the Zionist's insistence that Hamas disarm before initiating any humanitarian arrangements in the strip. In the afternoon, an Iranian spokesman announced plans to charge fees for submarine internet cables traveling through Hormuz. The Iranians upped the ante today by warning the US that it would attack one of its bases and its shipping if their commercial vessels were attacked. After today, a spokesman said, ‘our restraint is over'. The spokesman emphasised that the potential Iranian response would not be limited to the conventional capabilities of the armed forces, but would include the deployment of more advanced equipment and innovative combat tactics, in addition to expanding the scope of the confrontation to new and unexpected arenas. That sounds ominous: a full blown war can’t be far away now. Later, Iranian Deputy Speaker, Ali Nikzad affirmed that the era of imposing dictates on the Iranian people is over, emphasizing that the Strait of Hormuz will not be opened through any military operation.
For those who believe that the US ‘blockade’ is suffocating Iran, it should be noted that the Iranians have sharply increased trade with Russia via the Caspian Sea and with China via the rail link. The NYT2 provides some detail that is referred to here.
10th May - Day 71
The Fighting
Early this morning, the Zionists continued their genocide in Gaza where they murdered another 4 in an attack on a vehicle in Khan Younis. In the area around Doha, the Iranians targeted a US flagged cargo ship with a missile. Late in the morning, it was reported that a loud explosion was heard in the Iranian port city of Chabahar in Iran. This was designed to disrupt Iranian activities in Hormuz. Late in the afternoon Hezbollah hit Galilee with drones and rockets.
Also during late morning, the Iranian Tasnim News Agency reported that a US Air Force F-35 Lightning II fighter jet sent the emergency code 7700 minutes earlier while flying over the Sea of Oman. Just after noon, it was reported that Iran had struck a cargo ship off the coast of Qatar, according to UKMTO.
Galilee was hit again with missiles and drones late in the evening and groups of IDF soldiers were hit late at night.
Political/Diplomatic/ Military Moves
Today it was revealed that the Israelis have a secret base in the Iraqi desert in support of its war with Iran. It was built in late February before the war began. You can read more here. Early this morning, the Iranian announced that they have deployed Ghadir class submarines to the Strait of Hormuz. This is a provocation that is asking the US to put up or shut up. Time is on the side of the Iranians because the Western World is using up its reserves of oil to keep the price low - but what will happen when the reserves are exhausted?
The Iranians have responded to Trump’s proposals - i.e. a demand that Iran surrender, basically - and the Donald was not pleased. Iran rejected Trump’s proposals and is asking for an end to all the conflicts - including that in Lebanon - as a pre-requisite for negotiations on other issues. But Uranium enrichment and control of Hormuz are non-negotiable, Iran has insisted. Here’s a summary of Iran’s demands:
Immediate, permanent end to the war on all fronts (including Lebanon).
• Lift the illegal U.S. naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
• Full sanctions relief, release of frozen assets, and reparations.
• Recognition of Iranian sovereignty and control over the Strait.
• Nuclear talks? Postponed indefinitely. Iran keeps its enrichment along with the stockpiles. Minimal concessions to be discussed (not agreed to) after the war ends with meaningful security guarantees.
Trump described Iran’s proposals as ‘garbage’ and admitted that he didn’t finish reading them.
Trump is reported to want the war over before he visits Xi Jinping on the 13th-15th May. That’s a big ask.

Palestine - Resistance Attacks
Palestine - Zionist Attacks
The Fighting
Early this morning, an IDF soldier was killed by a missile in the Al-Manarah area of the Lebanese border. 18 have been killed since the beginning of March. Another ‘security incident’ was reported a few hours later followed by a report of rescue helicopters flying over Galilee. In the meantime, the Zionists were targeting numerous towns in Southern Lebanon and are forcing residents to evacuate. Israeli media acknowledges that only 10 of Hezbollah’s 100 drone operators have been killed.
The Zionists injured several civilians in Beit Lahia (Gaza) this morning and injured several others in an attack on a bread delivery van in Zbedin. Meanwhile Hezbollah set another Merkava alight. By the late afternoon, the Zionists had killed 4 Palestinians in Gaza while Hezbollah carried out a number of strikes on collections of IDF and their equipment. The Zionists also killed 2 civilians with a drone in Al-Dowair Town. Another Merkava tank was hit during the early evening and the newly established Israeli HQ at Al-Bayyada was also hit. Late at night, 6 were killed and 7 wounded in a Zionist attack on Kafr Dounin (Southern Lebanon). 5 more Lebanese were martyred in Tyre and Nabatieh

12th May - Day 73
The Fighting
This morning, the Zionists were forcing people to abandon their homes in South Lebanon. According to the Hebrew Channel 14, 8 soldiers were injured in clashes with Hezbollah near Zoutar al-Sharqiyah. In Tyre, the Zionists injured 2 in an attack on a motorcycle. Around midday, Hezbollah hit another Merkava with a drone near the town of Houla.
During the afternoon, it was reported that the Houthis have resumed their attacks on Israel when they launched a drone towards Eilat. Also in the afternoon, the Zionists killed 2 emergency workers in Nabatieh while they were attempted to rescue civilians trapped under the rubble. The Zionists also claimed to have killed 15 Hezbollah fighters late this afternoon and by the early evening Hezbollah’s drones set 2 more Merkavas ablaze. The Zionists are finding it virtually impossible to combat Hezbollah’s fibre optic drones which have been used in the Ukraine conflict for years. They are very difficult to detect. During the evening in South Lebanon, the Zionists killed 6 Lebanese civilians in the towns of Jebsheet and Nabateih.
They also killed a Palestinian youth (above) north of occupied Quds.
Political/Diplomatic/Military Moves
Yediot Ahronot, an Israeli newspaper, is reporting that 30 percent of Israelis are considering leaving Israel. This is on top of those who have left already.
According to Yemen News Agency, Saba:
The Iraqi-Iranian Supreme Security Committee affirmed during its meeting on Monday in Baghdad the importance of implementing the joint bilateral security agreement between the two countries and enhancing joint security coordination.
This is good news that will dismay Donald J.
During the morning, a spokesperson for Iran’s parliament’s Foreign Policy and National Security Committee, Ebrahim Rezaei, posted on social media:
One of Iran's options in the event of another attack could be 90 percent enrichment. We will review it in the parliament.
Now that will set the cat amongst the pigeons. I am not sure how sincere this statement is but it serves to illustrate how the US could be facilitating that which it claims to be attempting to prevent. This will pose a dilemma for Trump who will know that an attack on Iran could persuade it to develop a nuclear weapons program.
Iran has laid out 5 demands that must be met before it will even discuss the nuclear enrichment issue. According to the Times:
Trump’s rejection of Iran’s latest proposal to bring a permanent end to the war has placed mounting pressure on his administration. At this critical juncture, Trump faces a clear choice: pursue genuine diplomacy based on mutual respect and recognition of Iran’s legitimate rights, or escalate a conflict that has already proven costly and ineffective.
Iran has now laid out five main demands for holding nuclear talks with the US in a second stage of a peace proposal. Iran says the US must meet these demands in the first stage if it wants an end to the war and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz: Ending hostilities across West Asia, including the Israeli war on Lebanon, the lifting of sanctions on Iran, reparations for damage caused by the US and Israeli war on Iran, releasing Iran’s frozen assets, and recognizing Iran’s right over the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Zero Hedge, quoting the WSJ, the UAE has been carrying out secret attacks on Iran which could explain Iran’s recent attacks on the UAE. This was confirmed by another report which claimed that the UAE attacked Iran in partnership with Israel. This was the first time an Arab or Muslim country has ever attacked another Muslim country in collaboration with Israel. Emiratis may live to regret it. But it appears that Saudi Arabia may also have attacked Iran during the hot war. Later it was reported that Netanyahu secretly traveled to the UAE during the active phase of the war to meet with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Fighting
This morning, Hezbollah launched drones and rockets into Galilee. They also launched their largest scale drone attack on Northern Israel so far. The Zionists injured a man in Naqoura and targeted the suburbs of Beirut with drones. Israeli raids on Jiyyeh and Saadiyat killed 8 including 2 children in South Lebanon. Late this morning, it was reported the Zionists have conducted 3 raids into Syria today. The Zionists appear to be targeting cars and motorcycles recently which could mean that they are running out of military targets so resort to terrorism. Hezbollah has been busy this morning targeting 3 different IDF gatherings along with collections of vehicles. A Merkava tank was among the targets hit. Zionist raids on Sidon (Tyre) killed 12, including a mother and her 2 children while a child was injured in Gaza. During the evening, the Zionists murdered 5 and wounded 7 in targeting a house belonging to the Farhat family in Arab Salim, Lebanon. While this was happening the Kuwaitis seized an Iranian boat in the Gulf, capturing its 4 man crew. The Iranians have demanded the return of the boat and its crew. Late at night Iran attacked Kurdish forces in Erbil (Iraq).
Political/Diplomatic/Military Moves
The New York Times has offended the Donald by publishing US intelligence reports on Iran’s missile capability - which, it claims, has hardly been touched. Iran has gained access to 30 of the 33 ballistic missile sites damaged; it retains 70% of its pre war stockpile of missiles and has access to 90% of its underground facilities. This conflicts with statements made by Trump, who is mad as hell, and drunken sailor Hegseth. Truth often sets the cat amongst the pigeons.
On Truth Social, drama queen Trump accused the NYT of ‘virtual TREASON’ and, parrot like, he repeated the nonsense about Iran’s navy, Air Force and leaders being destroyed. You can read more at the NYT or here. Pete Hegseth actually admitted that the US has a plan for every eventuality in the Iran conflict, including ‘retrograde’: he couldn’t allow himself to use the term ‘retreat’. Ed Case, a senior US congressman, has admitted that the US lost 39 planes during the hot phase of the war with Iran. 110 others sustained serious damage. You can read more here. Many are speculating on what will happen next. I share Anthony Aguilar’s belief that an attack on Iran is unlikely and that the US will stay where it is, continuing its leaky blockade for many months. Such a course of action - or inaction - can be presented as ‘winning’ to a gullible public - which is all that matters to Trump. This means that I won’t be able to afford heating oil before winter.
Pakistan and Afghanistan have been accused of providing shelter for Iran’s military aircraft. Pakistan has denied the claims outright while Afghanistan admits to accommodating civil aircraft from Iran on a temporary basis. Lyndsay Graham told drunken Pete that he is not pleased that Pakistan is supposed to be an unbiased negotiator yet could be sheltering Iranian aircraft.
The documentary ‘Gaza: Doctors Under Attack’ has won a BAFTA (British Oscar) in spite of the fact that the BBC refused to broadcast it after it was completed with BBC money more than a year ago. The documentary includes interviews with doctors operating in Gaza. 1,700 doctors have been killed in Gaza while 400 more have been detained by the Zionists. The BBC, which covered the BAFTA award ceremony, shamefully edited out criticism of Israel.
Today, Iranian Spokesman, Esmaeil Baqaei delivered some pearls of wisdom to those willing to listen. With regard to the Iran war, he said:
This is a war between those whose decisions are shadowed by moral compromise, and those who act with a clear conscience. This is a defining struggle for the future of humankind. It will decide whether civilization’s hard-won achievements—human rights, the rule of law, and basic morality—will survive or be swept away.
And he asked people to choose:
Do we accept a world ruled by modern slave masters—arrogant, domineering, and unaccountable—who govern through coercion, lies, and extortion? Or do we stand for a world grounded in respect, justice, peace, and human dignity? Humanity’s conscience is not yet dead. But in times like these, silence is complicity with evil.
You can read his complete statement here.

14th May - Day 75
The Fighting
The Zionists have announced that they will be withdrawing one third of their troops from around Gaza today. They continue to issue evacuation orders to villagers in Southern Lebanon so that they can destroy their homes. This is annoyingly frustrating but it will not be the first time that the Lebanese will rebuild villages destroyed by the destructive Zionists - as Laith Marouf discusses in this video. The Zionists were still targeting Beirut this morning while Hezbollah was attacking IDF forces and their vehicles in Southern Lebanon where Zionist rescue/evacuation helicopters are in the air. In Jabalia, north of the Gaza strip, a man was killed by a Zionist drone drop and another by sniper fire. In the middle of the morning another Merkava tank was hit. A total of 200 ambulances have been destroyed in Lebanon - already. Early in the evening, 2 were killed and many others injured by the Zionists in Jabalia camp, Northern Gaza. Late in the evening, Hezbollah launched 6 rockets towards Kiryat Shmona. I can’t report on every Hezbollah/Resistance action because I don’t have access to the information. But to give you an idea of how busy these forces are have a look at this list of 13 operations carried out today up until 17.05.
Political/Diplomatic/Military Moves
According to Haaretz, Israeli and Lebanese negotiators met in Washington today. Lebanon is calling for a real ceasefire, permanent peace and the removal of Zionist forces from Lebanon while Israel wants the threat of Hezbollah removed. But Hezbollah will continue to fight while Israel remains a threat: disarming under the current circumstances would be suicidal.
Negotiations are ongoing with regard to Gaza where the American led ‘Peace Council’ wishes to proceed with ‘Plan B’ without Hamas in areas of Gaza not controlled by the resistance force. They want to move the technocratic (interim) Palestinian government into these areas to implement Trump’s 21 point plan. Hamas is not willing to cooperate and will not give up its weapons because the first phase of the Peace Agreement has not yet been fulfilled by the Zionists continue the genocide in Gaza. Disarming for Hamas would be as suicidal as it would be for Hezbollah.3
Late in the afternoon, US submarines arrives off the coast of Pakistan. Perhaps the Americans are planning something for the weekend?
Late in the afternoon, it was reported that torturer Ben Gvir planted himself outside the Al-Aqsa mosque with an Israeli flag. He knows how provocative this must be for Palestinians on the eve of Nakba.
Israeli settlers have taken over Old Jerusalem as Israeli Security declares sovereignty over Al-Aqsa. Death to Arabs, they shouted.
The Israeli Parliament was suspended today pending elections yet to be arranged. Campaigning will now begin in earnest.
During the afternoon, 30 Chinese vessels passed through the Straits of Hormuz - sending a message to Trump and Xi, perhaps.
According to Iran’s FM, Abbas Araghchi:
The Strait of Hormuz is open for anyone that isn’t an enemy of Iran. You just need to pay the tolls.
Saudi Arabia has proposed a ‘non-aggression pact’ between Iran and other Middle Eastern countries based on the 1975 Helsinki accords. The Europeans are in favour but it is not clear what roles the US and Israel will play in this initiative. You can read more at Tass.

15th May - Day 76
The Fighting
Early this morning, the Zionists were still raiding various towns in Southern Lebanon and were calling for many more towns and villages to be evacuated so they can start bombing. Early this morning, an Israeli soldier was killed in Southern Lebanon and in Gaza the Zionists killed a child. In the Gulf of Oman, the Iranians seized the Hui Chan, which they say is being used as a ‘floating arsenal’. The vessel was redirected towards Iranian territorial waters.
Political/Diplomatic/ Military Moves
Following his visit to Xi, Trump was in bellicose mood buoyed by the opposition’s failure to stop the war in the Senate and in Congress. ‘I don’t intend to stay patient for much longer. We can destroy the Iranian economy in 5 minutes’, he said, according to this report.. The only way he could do that is by using nukes, but this is just Trump bravado. Destroying Iran’s economy would mean taking its oil off the world markets, which would be disastrous.
More information is coming out about the UAE’s role in attacking Iran as it was revealed that the Emirates attempted to lure Qatar and Saudi Arabia into a military alliance against Iran.
Today the Palestinians commemorated the 1948 Nakba, when hundreds of thousands were evicted from their homes by the Zionists. You can read more here or at the Palestinian Chronicle.
The US has cancelled proposals to send 4,000 troops to Poland, possibly for budgetary concerns. Apparently, Hegseth made the decision without consulting the Pentagon, according to Politico.

According to another source, a spokesman for Hamas called for the immediate empowerment of the ‘National Committee for the Administration of the Gaza Strip’ (i.e. the Technocrat Committee), allowing it to enter the strip, assume its responsibilities and carry out its work. I have not been able to obtain confirmation of this anywhere - but maybe you have.

Pakistan is the Wild Card. The Yanks thought that deposing Imran Khan and installing a president known for his corruption would have Pakistan under the US boot heel. However, Pakistanis have long memories. They have not forgotten Obama's Kill Tuesdays, and the hundreds of civilians that he droned to death. They have lined up with the strongest of the BRICS partners and appear to be solidly behind Iran. I wonder if USrael will start bombing them?
It is good to see that Yemen is getting back into action again.
USrael are not having it all their own way. Erdogan, with the largest army in NATO, is voicing hostilities towards Israel right now, but not before Israel had voiced hostile intentions towards Turkey. Who does USrael actually have in the middle east? Syria, with its leader on shaky ground; the UAE, which could be bombed to oblivion at any time; Kuwait, ditto; perhaps Bahrain, where the populace are gagging to get rid of the king, and that's about it.
Israel will not reveal its IDF losses in Lebanon but a report last week said that during the week they buried 900 IDF soldiers. Max Blumenthal claims that Hezbola has the upper hand in Southern Lebanon, in spite of the death and destruction that the IDF is raining down on its people. So, USrael is not in a good position.
And then there is the UK. Starmer is on the skids, but the two main candidates to replace him are both rabid Zios, so British Labour is just shuffling deckchairs on the titanic, and will continue its sycophantic support of USrael.
Iran is doing an amazing job with its videos and is winning the meme war. YouTube banned them, they are still on instagram at explosive media.
The oil price is being heavily manipulated. The question is how much longer this will work. Physical stocks are declining.
Israel wants to continue the war to destroy Iran and take a chunk of Lebanon as part of its greater Israel goal.
Trump is playing for time, I don’t know why. And can Trump even agree to a peace deal? Iran is making deals on the gulf. And the blockade on the blockade is very leaky.
